The Ichthys Project (INPEX Browse, Ltd. 76%, Operator, and Total E&P Australia 24%) today released the Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the semi-submersible Central Processing Facility (CPF) to be located at the Ichthys Gas Field (WA-37-R) in the Timor Sea, approximately 200 kilometres off the northwest coast of Australia.

The Pluto Foundation Project is 95% complete
As foreshadowed in Woodside’s most recent quarterly report a comprehensive six-monthly cost and schedule review for the Pluto Foundation LNG Project has just been completed. The review has led to a revised ready-for-start-up (RFSU) target of August 2011. The first LNG cargo is targeted a month after start-up.

Nexus Agrees Commercial Principles with Shell for Crux Liquids Project Extension
Nexus Energy Limited (“Nexus”) has reached agreement on commercial terms with Shell Development (Australia) Pty Ltd (“Shell”) to purchase an option to a three (3) year extension of the gas rights handover date from 31 December 2020 to 31 December 2023. The agreement is subject to final legal documentation and requisite parties’ board approvals. This represents an important milestone in the commercialisation of Crux (AC/L9).

Wood Group wins Eni Australia contract
Wood Group, the international energy services company, among others, has been selected by Eni to provide long term engineering services to support Eni’s Australian assets, including Blacktip, Woollybutt and the upcoming Kitan development. Work will be performed at Wood Group’s Perth and Darwin offices.

BPT and ITOCHU investigate LNG facility locations in SA
Beach Energy Limited (Beach) and ITOCHU Corporation (ITOCHU) have identified potential South Australian sites for a proposed mid-scale Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility.
The Memorandum of Understanding between Beach and ITOCHU, relating to a proposed LNG facility, has progressed as a result of discussions with the South Australian Government and a recent visit to various locations in South Australia. It is intended that this facility would be supplied from Beach’s extensive gas portfolio, which includes both conventional and unconventional gas resources.
