Axens Awarded for a PolyFuel® Contract in Romania
OMV Petrom has selected Axens to supply the PolyFuel® technology for its project at the Petrobrazi Refinery.The capacity of the project is 200,000 tons per year.

Axens selected as licensor for clean fuel technologies for SOCAR Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery
As a major licensor for clean fuel production, Axens has been selected for the modernization project of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery that will enable the refinery, located at Baku, to increase its annual processing capacity, from 6.0 to 7.5 Mtpa (million tons per annum), and produce high-quality Euro 5 fuels. Axens VGO HDS technology has been selected by Total for a new vacuum gasoil (VGO) hydro desulfurization unit at the Donges refinery (France). The unit is designed to process around 40,000 BPD (barrels per day) and will allow Total producing low sulfur fuels meeting the evolution of EU specifications.

The Hungarian company MOL Plc. has selected Axens to perform the revamping of its DMHCK unit (FCC feed hydrotreater and mild hydrocracking) of the Danube Refinery in Százhalombatta, Hungary. This revamping project consists in increasing VGO conversion and Diesel yield.

Axens and Headwaters Technology Innovation (HTI) Join Efforts on Ebullated Bed Technology for Heavy Oil Upgrading
Axens announced today, that it has entered into a technology alliance with HTI, a subsidiary of Headwaters Incorporated. Axens is recognized as one of the world’s leading providers of technologies, catalysts and services for oil refineries. The purpose of the alliance is to promote the combined use of Axens' and HTI's technologies to produce clean liquid fuels from residual (“bottom-of-the-barrel”) heavy oil.

Important Award from Petron (Philippines) for HR 626!
After a first defeat in 2009, Axens has secured the upcoming change-outs of two diesel hydrotreaters at Petron Bataan refinery in the Philippines. This award was the outcome of the following main winning factors - numerous performances projections during P² and PL phases of the RMP2 expansion project, as well as recent tailored proposals related to the specific operations in terms of flowrate, feed conditions, and product sulfur of both hydrotreaters prior and after the upcoming expansion completion. Axens will deliver about 250 tons of HR 626 in Q4 2012 to Petron Corporation.
