Axens selected as licensor for clean fuel technologies for SOCAR Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery
As a major licensor for clean fuel production, Axens has been selected for the modernization project of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery that will enable the refinery, located at Baku, to increase its annual processing capacity, from 6.0 to 7.5 Mtpa (million tons per annum), and produce high-quality Euro 5 fuels. This project is today one of the most important projects of SOCAR at a downstream stage.

First paraxylene produced at Atyrau Refinery
Official ceremony of producing the first batch of a new product – paraxylene at the Aromatics Production Complex has taken place at the Atyrau Refinery as part of celebrating the 70th anniversary of the facility.
It was attended by representatives of the RoK’s Ministry of Energy, “Samruk-Kazyna” SWF JSC, JSC NC “KazMunayGas”, JSC “KazMunayGas – Refining and Marketing” and others.

GM&T to provide consultancy in the construction of FSRU 'Kaliningrad'
Gazprom Marketing & Trading (GM&T) and OOO “Gazprom Flot” have signed an agreement to provide technical and commercial advisory services during the construction of a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU). Both companies are subsidiaries of PAO Gazprom.

Wärtsilä wins two more regasification module contracts for LNG vessels
South Korean shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has placed two important contracts with Wärtsilä for seawater/propane based regasification modules. The systems are to be installed on FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit) vessels owned by Höegh LNG, the Norway based leading owner and operator of floating energy solutions, and by Russian energy company Gazprom. The contracts were signed in July. There is also an option for a further contract from HHI for another Höegh vessel that is valid until December of this year.

Rosneft agreed on sale of 15% in Vankorneft to ONGC Videsh
Rosneft and Indian ONGC Videsh Limited during the Eastern Economic Forum signed the agreement of sale and purchase of 15% in Vankorneft and shareholders agreement in regard of the enterprise management. The document was signed by the Chairman of Rosneft Management Board Igor Sechin and Managing Director of ONGC Videsh Limited Narendra Verma.

CB&I Announces Equipment Supply Award for Afipsky Oil Refinery in Russia
CB&I (NYSE:CBI) today announced it has been awarded a contract in excess of $90 million by NefteGazIndustriya, LLC, through project developer MAVEG Industrieausruestungen GmbH, for the Afipsky Oil Refinery. The scope of work includes detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication and supply of a steam methane reformer for a large-scale hydrogen plant, hydrocracking heaters and Breech-Lock® exchangers. CB&I previously announced two awards on the project—the technology license and FEED contract and detailed engineering and procurement services for multiple process units.

First production Well Successfully Built at the East-Messoyakha Field
Rosneft and Gazprom Neft have completed early the project to build the first production well at the East-Messoyakha deposit, which is part of the Messoyakha cluster, the northernmost of the known Russian onshore oil fields. The project is part of the joint drilling program implemented by the two companies.

FMC Technologies Awarded $297 Million Contract for Subsea Production Systems for Shah Deniz Stage 2 Project
FMC Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: FTI) announced today that it has received an order from BP Exploration (Shah Deniz) Ltd. to supply subsea production systems for Well Clusters 3-5 of the Shah Deniz Stage 2 project in the Caspian Sea. The order has an estimated value of $297 million in revenue and is in addition to the initial order for Well Clusters 1-2 received in 2014 from BP, the operator of the Shah Deniz Stage 2 project. The Shah Deniz field is located offshore in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, approximately 100km south of Baku.
