Chevron Announces First Gas from the Chuandongbei Project in Southwest China
hevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) announced today that its fully-owned subsidiary Unocal East China Sea, Ltd. began natural gas production from the first stage of the Chuandongbei Project in southwest China. Chuandongbei is one of the largest onshore gas projects developed by an international oil company and a national oil company in China.
Technip awarded subsea de-commissioning and installation contract in the Gulf of Mexico
Technip was awarded by Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company, a division of Chevron U.S.A. Inc., a lump sum project for the decommissioning of the brownfield development and installation of new subsea equipment supporting a floating production system located in Mississippi Canyon, Gulf of Mexico, in a water depth of approximately 2,000 meters.
Start-up of platform P-61 in Papa Terra field
Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras announces the start-up of platform P-61 in Papa Terra field, in the southern tip of Campos Basin, 110km off the coast of Brazil and at a water depth (distance between water surface and sea floor) ranging from 400 to 1,400 meters.
INTECSEA Awarded Contract for Buckskin-Moccasin Development
INTECSEA has been selected by Chevron U.S.A. Inc. to provide engineering and long-lead procurement services for the front-end engineering and design (FEED) phase of the Buckskin/Moccasin development in the Gulf of Mexico. The award comes as an integrated WorleyParsons and INTECSEA team recently completed Pre-FEED for the development.
Chevron Acquires Exploration Interests in Mauritania
Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Chevron Mauritania Exploration Limited has reached an agreement to acquire a 30 percent non-operated working interest in Blocks C8, C12 and C13 offshore Mauritania from Kosmos Energy. The transaction is subject to the approval of Mauritania’s government.
