BP to Sell Yacheng Gas Field in China to KUFPEC
BP today announced that it has agreed the sale of its 34.3 per cent interest in the Yacheng gas field in the South China Sea to Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) for $308 million cash. Subject to regulatory, CNOOC and third party approvals, BP expects the deal to close in the second half of 2013.

Hothot FCC Unit Commissioned
The Hohhot Petrochemical Refinery Expansion Project has been completed with the commissioning of the Fluidised Catalytic Cracking Unit. The 2.8 Million ton per annum unit was successfully put into operation on the 28th of October.

Technip and COOEC awarded substantial subsea contract in China
Technip, in a consortium with Offshore Oil Engineering Co. Ltd (COOEC), was awarded by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) Deepwater Development Limited an engineering, procurement, installation and construction services contract. This contract, worth approximately €200 million (Technip share: around €110 million), is for the South China Sea deepwater gas development project in the Panyu 34-1/35-1/35-2 Gas Field, located about 150 kilometers South of Hong Kong.

Qatargas delivers commissioning cargo to Zhejiang LNG Terminal in the People’s Republic of China
On 19 September, Qatargas delivered the first cargo of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to China National Oil Corporation’s (CNOOC) Zhejiang LNG Terminal. The cargo delivered by Qatargas’ Q-Max LNG vessel ZARGA will be used to commission the newly constructed LNG terminal. The arrival also marks the first Q-Max LNG Vessel, the largest class of LNG carriers in the world, to one of CNOOC’s owned and operated terminals in the People’s Republic of China.

CNPC's LNG project in Ansai goes on stream successfully
On August 19, CNPC's LNG project in Ansai County of Shaanxi Province produced qualified LNG in one trial. The successful industrial application of the double mixed refrigerant (DMR) process independently developed by CNPC's China Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering Corporation (HQCEC) is the first of its kind regarding large scale gas liquefaction in China. CNPC Chairman Jiang Jiemin sent a letter of congratulation to extend his gratitude for the dedication and contribution of the project team.
