Binding agreements signed for QCLNG stake sale and LNG supply
BG Group today announced it has signed binding agreements with China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) for the sale of certain additional interests in the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) project in Australia for $1.93 billion and for the supply of an additional 5 million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Additionally, CNOOC will reimburse BG Group for its share of QCLNG project expenditure incurred from 1 January 2012.

JDR Marks Deployment Of Major Subsea Umbilical Contract For China National Offshore Oil Corporation
JDR, a leading provider of technology connecting the global offshore energy industry, has deployed a range of dynamic subsea production umbilicals and ESP[1] power cables for the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) in their Liuhua 4-1 field subsea tieback project. JDR designed and manufactured over 42 kilometres of ESP power cable, each incorporating nine power cores, delivered in three 14 kilometre lengths. The order also included a 14 kilometre main production control umbilical and a bridging manifold control umbilical. These umbilicals are operating in the South China Sea, at depths from 260m to 300m.

BP to Sell Yacheng Gas Field in China to KUFPEC
BP today announced that it has agreed the sale of its 34.3 per cent interest in the Yacheng gas field in the South China Sea to Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) for $308 million cash. Subject to regulatory, CNOOC and third party approvals, BP expects the deal to close in the second half of 2013.

BG Group signs Heads of Agreement for sale of QCLNG stake and new LNG supply
BG Group today announces that it has signed a Heads of Agreement (HOA) with China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) for the sale of certain interests in the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) project in Australia for $1.93 billion and the sale of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from BG Group’s global LNG portfolio. Fully-termed transaction agreements are expected to be executed in the first half of 2013, and upon closing, CNOOC will reimburse BG Group for its share of QCLNG project capital expenditures incurred from 1 January 2012.
