On October 22, 2013 the Igor Sechin, Rosneft President and Chairman of the Management Board, and Zhou Jiping, Chairman of the Board of Directors of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), have signed the Key Principles of Tianjin Refinery commissioning schedule and crude oil deliveries for refining at the said facility. The document was signed in the presence of Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of PRC.

NOVATEK and CNPC conclude agreement on share purchase in Yamal LNG
Today, in the presence of the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Chairman of People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, OAO NOVATEK (“NOVATEK”) and China National Petroleum Corporation (“CNPC”) concluded an agreement on purchase of a 20% equity share in the Yamal LNG project (“Project”) by CNPC.

CNPC and Hess sign agreement on Malang Block of Santanghu Basin
On July 23 in Beijing, CNPC President Liao Yongyuan met with Gregory P. Hill, Hess Corporation Executive Vice President and President of Worldwide Exploration and Production. The two sides exchanged views on furthering cooperation in the oil and gas sector and signed a cooperation agreement on Malang Block of the Santanghu Basin in Xinjiang, China.

Siemens and China National Petroleum Corporation conclude framework agreement
Siemens has concluded a framework agreement with China's biggest oil and gas corporation, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), to supply the entire electrical engineering and electrical systems for the first phase of the planned Guangdong Petrochemical Refinery in China. The refinery will be built in Jieyang in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong and, once completed, will be the largest refinery in China. The first stage of the plant complex is scheduled for commissioning in late 2015.

Wison Engineering Successfully Completes Delivery of Six Projects of Integrated Refinery and Petrochemical Complex
Wison Engineering Services Co. Ltd. (HKEx: 02236) ("Wison Engineering" or the "Company"), China's largest private chemical EPC contractor, announced today that Wison Engineering Ltd, an indirect non-wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, has successfully completed the delivery of six projects of the PetroChina Sichuan Integrated Refinery and Petrochemical Complex on schedule. This is Wison Engineering’s first project to execute the main units of a sizable integrated refinery and petrochemical complex. The successful delivery demonstrates the Company’s technical strengths as a general contractor for highly complicated facilities, thereby laying a solid foundation for Wison Engineering to expand into overseas and domestic petrochemical and oil refinery markets.

Eni sells a 20% share of Area 4 in Mozambique to CNPC and signs Agreement for cooperation for the Rongchang shale gas block
Eni CEO, Paolo Scaroni, and the CEO of Petrochina Company Limited, controlled by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), Zhou Jiping, signed an agreement in Beijing for Eni’s sale to CNPC of 28,57% of Eni East Africa’s shares, owner of the 70% interest in Area 4, in Mozambique. With this operation, CNPC indirectly acquires a 20% stake in Area 4, while Eni remains the owner of 50%. The remaining shares in the Area are held by Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos de Mocambique (ENH, 10%), Kogas (10%) and Galp Energia (10%).

Lanzhou-Chengdu Crude Pipeline completed
Lanzhou-Chengdu Crude Pipeline was completed. The 880km-long pipeline extends from the Western Crude Pipeline terminal in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, to Pengzhou terminal station in Sichuan Province, running through Gansu, Shaanxi and Sichuan provinces. The pipeline is capable of delivering 10 million tons of crude annually, with the pipe diameter of 610mm, designed maximum pressure of 13.4MPa, and a fall head of 2,207m. It is currently the one of its kind in China that has the highest pipe pressure and largest fall head.

CNPC puts into operation the entire gas processing system at Iraq’s Al-Ahdab Oilfield
On November 7 in Iraq, CNPC’s Al-Ahdab project delivered the first tank of LPG, marking the full operation of the field’s associated gas processing system , which has been completed in only 16 months, 3 years ahead of contracted time limit.

On October 20, the NO. 3 storage tank of Dalian LNG terminal was successfully put into operation at the first try, marking the overall completion and operation of the first phase of Dalian LNG project.

CNPC's LNG project in Ansai goes on stream successfully
On August 19, CNPC's LNG project in Ansai County of Shaanxi Province produced qualified LNG in one trial. The successful industrial application of the double mixed refrigerant (DMR) process independently developed by CNPC's China Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering Corporation (HQCEC) is the first of its kind regarding large scale gas liquefaction in China. CNPC Chairman Jiang Jiemin sent a letter of congratulation to extend his gratitude for the dedication and contribution of the project team.
