Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) confirmed today that its subsidiary, Chevron Overseas (Congo) Limited, and partners have started production from the deepwater development Moho Bilondo Phase 1b offshore the Republic of Congo.

Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) announced today that its subsidiary, Chevron Overseas (Congo) Limited, has commenced oil and gas production from the Lianzi Field, located in a unitized offshore zone between the Republic of Congo and the Republic of Angola.

Eni starts production at Nené Marine Field, offshore Congo
Eni has started production from Nené Marine field, offshore Congo, just eight months after obtaining the production permit and 16 months following the exploration discovery. The field is located in Marine XII Block, approximately 17 km from the coast.

Eni successfully completed the production test on Minsala Marine 1 exploration well Offshore Congo
Eni has successfully completed the production test on the Minsala Marine 1 NFW, located in the Marine XII Block offshore Congo, 35 kilometers from the shoreline and 12 kilometers from the recent Nené Marine discovery. During the production test the well delivered in natural flow in excess of 5,000 barrels of oil per day and 14 million standard cubic feet of gas per day from an opened section of 37 meters out of the 420 meters oil column identified in the discovery. The oil quality is 41 degrees API.

Eni has made a new important oil discovery in the Minsala Marine exploration prospect located in the Marine XII Block offshore Congo at 35 Kilometers from the shoreline and 12 kilometers from the recent Nené Marine discovery.

Eni signs cooperation agreement with Republic of Congo and reaffirms its historic commitment to the country
The Congolese Minister of hydrocarbons, André Raphael Loemba, and Eni CEO, Claudio Descalzi, in the presence of President of Congo Dennis Sassou Nguesso and the Italian Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi, today signed in Brazzaville a cooperation agreement which states Eni’s intention to pursue new initiatives in the Congolese coastal basin, which extends from onshore Mayombe to the deep-offshore.

Dietsmann awarded Offshore HSE Supervision contract in the Republic of Congo
On 2 May 2014 ENI Congo awarded Dietsmann a service contract for the HSE supervision of ENI Congo’s offshore sites. The contract, which will be managed from the industrial base in Pointe Noire, is worth a total of 12 million euro. Work will start in mid-May.

Eni and SNPC to jointly explore the Ngolo congolese block
Eni, through its company Eni Congo, will participate, as Operator, in the joint venture with SNPC for the exploration of the block San Donato Milanese (Milan), 19 September 2013 – Eni and the Congolese state company Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo (SNPC),will jointly explore the hydrocarbon potential of the Ngolo block, which is part of the Cuvette Basin. The block is located approximately 350 kilometers north east from the capital Brazzaville and covers an area of over 16 thousand square kilometers.

Technip was awarded by Total E&P Congo an important engineering, procurement, and supply contract for the Moho Nord project, the largest development ever in the Republic of Congo, located 75 kilometers offshore Pointe Noire.
