Denali Discontinues Gas Pipeline Project
The Alaska Gas Pipeline announced today that its open season efforts have not resulted in the customer commitments necessary to continue work on its Alaska North Slope gas pipeline project, which has an overall estimated capital cost of $35 billion (2009 dollars). Denali will withdraw its Federal Energy Regulatory Commission pre-file application and, over the next few months, close out its operations.

Australia Pacific LNG and Sinopec sign binding agreements for LNG supply and a 15% equity interest
Australia Pacific LNG Pty Ltd (“Australia Pacific LNG”) and China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (“Sinopec”) today signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement for the supply of 4.3 million tonnes per annum of LNG for 20 years from Australia Pacific LNG’s world-class coal seam gas resources and proposed LNG facility on Curtis Island, Gladstone in Queensland.

Seadrill orders and secures a five-year contract for jack-up newbuild
Seadrill has entered into an agreement for the construction of a new jack-up drilling rig with Jurong shipyard in Singapore. The rig is scheduled to be completed at the end of the third quarter 2013 and total project price is estimated at US$530 million, which includes project management, drilling and handling tools, spares and capitalized interest.

Aker Solutions won Eldfisk EPC contract
Aker Solutions has signed an EPC contract with ConocoPhillips to deliver the topside and bridges of the production platform for the Eldfisk 2/7 S, in the North Sea. The contract value is approximately NOK 5,5 billion. The contract award is subject to Norwegian authorities' approval of the plan for development and operation (PDO).

Australia Pacific LNG and Sinopec sign Heads of Agreement for LNG supply and 15% equity interest
Australia Pacific LNG Pty Ltd and China Petrochemical Corporation have signed a Heads of Agreement establishing non-binding key commercial terms for the supply of up to 4.3 million tonnes per annum of LNG for 20 years and for Sinopec to subscribe for a 15% ownership interest in Australia Pacific LNG, thereby reducing both ConocoPhillips' and Origin Energy's ownership interest to 42.5%.

FMC Technologies Awarded $75 Million Contract to Support Ekofisk Field
FMC Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: FTI) announced today that its subsidiary, FMC Kongsberg Subsea AS, has signed an agreement with ConocoPhillips Scandinavia AS for the manufacture and supply of subsea equipment and services for a water injection development in the Ekofisk field. The award has a base value of approximately $75 million and is subject to Norwegian Parliament approval of the Plan for Development and Operation (PDO).

Kenai LNG Plant to be Closed
ConocoPhillips announced yesterday that the company will cease LNG exports from the Kenai LNG Plant, and will begin mothballing the facility for any potential future use. Despite the plant receiving an additional export license that authorizes exports through March 2013, due to current market conditions ConocoPhillips has been unable to negotiate the commercial arrangements that would be necessary to allow for continued operation of the plant as an LNG export facility past April/May of this year.
