ABB wins $20 million FPSO order
ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, has been awarded an oil and gas contract worth $20 million for providing power and automation technologies to a floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) built by the Chinese shipyard COSCO Nantong for Dana Petroleum. The contract was signed in the second quarter of 2013.

Dana Petroleum lays keel for $400 million oil production vessel
Aberdeen-based Dana Petroleum has laid the keel for a new $400 million oil production vessel which will produce and store up to 40,000 barrels of oil a day from the North Sea by 2015.

Well is spudded from the De Ruyter platform
The prospect is located immediately west and above the producing Volpriehausen and Hewett/Fringe compartments of the De Ruyter Field. If successful, Dana will drill a side track horizontal well to enable production to start immediately.

Dana $1.6bn oil and gas development gets go ahead
The Department of Energy and Climate Change has approved the Western Isles project which will develop two discovered oil fields called Harris and Barra in the Northern North Sea, 160km east of the Shetlands and 12km west of the Tern field.

Dana Petroleum has started drilling a new prospect in the Norwegian Sea in partnership with the operator Maersk Oil Norway
The drilling rig Transocean Barents has started operations on the Albert prospect in production license PL 513 in the Haltenbanken area. The gas/condensate prospect in the Cretaceous Lysing formation will be drilled down to 3,500 meters and is expected to be completed by the end of January 2013.
