PetroEcuador extends contract at the Esmeraldas Refinery
WorleyParsons is pleased to announce that EP PetroEcuador (Empresa Estatal Petróleos del Ecuador), the national oil company of Ecuador, has extended WorleyParsons’ Project Management Consultancy Services contract for the Esmeraldas Refinery Rehabilitation Project. Chevron Statement on Ecuador Judgment Enforcement Action
In response to media reports that the Lago Agrio plaintiffs' lawyers have initiated recognition and enforcement actions of their fraudulent judgment in Argentina, Chevron Corporation [NYSE: CVX] issued the following statement:

Petroperu signs agreement with Ecuador for use by the North Peruvian Pipeline
On Wednesday Aug. 8, was signed in Quito, Ecuador, an agreement to promote and facilitate the transport of oil from the Ecuadorian southeastern North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP). The event will be held at the offices of the Ministry of Non-Renewable Natural Resources of Ecuador. The document will be signed by Pedro Mendez Milla, Petroperu General Manager and representatives of the Ministry of Oil, Ecuador (SHE). The Chairman of Petroperu Sanchez Humberto Campodonico said that this agreement reinforces the bonds of friendship and integration between sectors of hydrocarbons in Peru and Ecuador.

EP Petrocuador And OCP Ecuador Signed Cooperation Agreements
Two cooperation agreements were signed today between PD and Petroecuador OCP Ecuador SA for interconnection of the pipeline and the Trans-Heavy Crude Oil Pipeline and Mutual Support in normal operation and emergency reported in the public oil.

Petroecuador to Expand and Upgrade Amazonas Shushufindi Refinery
A complete renovation is planned for the Amazonas Shushufindi Refinery, located in the Amazon region, in order to produce more fuels while improving the quality thereof, said the CEO of EP Petroecuador, Mr. Marco Calvopiña Vega.

Judge Who Issued $18.2 Billion Ruling against Chevron Removed from Bench
Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX) today renewed its request of authorities in Ecuador to investigate the overwhelming evidence of fraud tainting the Lago Agrio lawsuit after the Associated Press and Ecuador's El Universo newspaper revealed that Nicolás Zambrano, the judge who issued the $18.2 billion judgment against Chevron, has been dismissed from the bench due to his complicity in an emerging story of court corruption and drug trafficking in Ecuador.

Chevron Welcomes Petroecuador Clean-up Announcement
Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) today released the following statement from Hewitt Pate, vice president and general counsel, regarding the recent announcement by Ecuador’s state oil company, Petroecuador, that the company will complete its remediation of the sites it is responsible for under a 1995 agreement entered into with Texaco Petroleum Co. Chevron Awarded $96 Million in Arbitration Claim Against the Government of Ecuador
An international arbitration tribunal has awarded Chevron Corporation and Texaco Petroleum Company $96 million in a claim against Ecuador related to past oil operations by Texaco Petroleum, which is now a Chevron subsidiary. The tribunal, administered by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, found that Ecuador's courts violated international law through their significant delays in ruling on certain commercial disputes between Texaco Petroleum and the Ecuadorian government. The final award also takes into account taxes, compound interest, and costs associated with the preliminary award announced in March 2010.

Noble Energy Announces Exit From Ecuador
Noble Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NBL) announced today that it has received compensation totaling $97 million for the transfer of its assets in Ecuador to various government-affiliated entities. Compensation was received for the offshore Amistad field assets and Block 3 production sharing contract which was terminated by the government of Ecuador on November 25, 2010. In addition, total proceeds included an amount for the assignment of the Machala Power Electricity concession and its associated assets. Noble Energy previously owned these assets with a 100 percent working interest. The Company's net book value for the assets totaled approximately $68 million.

Chevron Appeals Ecuador Judgment
Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) has appealed the judgment entered last month against the company by the Provincial Court of Justice of Sucumbíos in Lago Agrio, Ecuador in a lawsuit alleging that Texaco Petroleum Company's participation in a state-controlled oil consortium prior to 1990 makes Chevron responsible for environmental impacts in the area. In the filing, Chevron details the pattern of fraud by the plaintiffs' lawyers, supporters and others that has corrupted the trial, as well as the numerous legal and factual defects in the judgment.
