Statoil Major oil discovery in the Barents Sea
Statoil, along with partners Eni Norway and Petoro, has made a significant oil discovery on the Skrugard prospect in the Barents Sea. The breakthrough discovery is one of the most important finds on the Norwegian continental shelf in the last decade.
Statoil and its partners are in the process of concluding drilling operations on the Skrugard prospect, which is located approximately 100 kilometres north of the Snøhvit gas field in the Barents Sea.

Eni signs MoU for upstream cooperation in Ukraine
The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mykola Zlochevskiy of Ukraine and Eni CEO Paolo Scaroni signed in Kiev a Memorandum of Understanding defining the framework for possible cooperation initiatives in exploration and production of hydrocarbons in Ukraine.

Eni: new successful well at super-giant Perla gas field, offshore Venezuela
Eni announces the successful results of the Perla-4 appraisal well, located in the Cardón IV Block in the shallow water of the Gulf of Venezuela. This well upgrades the estimate of gas in place of the Perla field, a super-giant gas discovery, to over 16 Tcf (2.9 billion barrels of oil equivalent).

Eni and Gazprom sign new agreements
Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller and Eni CEO Paolo Scaroni, in the presence of the President of Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev and Italy's Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, today signed an agreement which paves the way for the future handover to Gazprom of the 50% of Eni's stake (33,3%) in the consortium developing the Elephant oilfield in Libya, located in Libya's south-western desert some 800 km from Tripoli.

Eni awarded operatorship of Block 35 in deepwater offshore Angola
Eni announces today that it has been awarded participation and operatorship of Block 35 by the Angolan Juri for the bid round, composed of representatives from the Ministry of Petroleum, Sonangol and the Ministry of Finance. The block is located in deepwater offshore Angola, 150 km off the coast of Luanda. Block 35 covers 4.831 square km of potential pre-salt mining acreage.

Eni and Petrochina sign Memorandum of Understanding to develop business opportunities in China and abroad
Eni signed a Memorandum of Understanding today with CNPC/Petrochina, the biggest listed national oil company in the world. The Memorandum of Understanding sanctions a broad spectrum of possible business opportunities to the benefit of both parties in China and internationally.

Eni: clarification on Galp Energia share
Following CONSOB (the Italian Stock Exchange Regulator) request and in relation to today’s reports on possible discussions between Eni and Petroleo Brasileiro S.A – Petrobras for the disposal of Eni’s share in Galp Energia, following the lock-in period which expired on Dec.31 Eni confirms that it is evaluating a number of options including opportunities with Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras.
