Eni enters European unconventional gas in Poland
Eni has reached an agreement for the acquisition of Minsk Energy Resources and to become operator of 3 licences in the Polish Baltic Basin, a highly prospective shale gas play.

Eni achieves key production milestone in the Zubair field, in Iraq
Eni has achieved the first production milestone under the Zubair Technical Service Contract (TSC) with Iraq's state-owned South Oil Company (SOC). Eni, with a 32.81% share, is the lead contractor of the consortium formed for the redevelopment of the Zubair field, near Basra in southern Iraq. Other partners are the Iraqi Missan Oil Company (25%), Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy, 23.44%) and Korea Gas Corporation (Kogas, 18.75%).

Wood Group wins Eni Australia contract
Wood Group, the international energy services company, among others, has been selected by Eni to provide long term engineering services to support Eni’s Australian assets, including Blacktip, Woollybutt and the upcoming Kitan development. Work will be performed at Wood Group’s Perth and Darwin offices.

Eni successfully renegotiates oil contract in Ecuador
Eni signed yesterday in Quito with the Government of Ecuador a new service contract for the Villano oil field in Block 10. The Block is located in the Oriente Basin, in the Eastern part of Ecuador, some 260 km South East of Quito.

Eni starts heavy oil world-class project in Venezuela
Rafael Ramírez, Minister of Energy and Petroleum of Venezuela and President of PDVSA, and Paolo Scaroni, CEO of Eni, today signed in Caracas the contracts for the creation of two Empresas Mixtas (Mixed Enterprises): PetroJunín, dedicated to the development of Junín 5 Block, located in the Orinoco Oil Belt some 550 kilometers south east of Caracas, and PetroBicentenario, dedicated to the construction and operation of a refinery in the area of the existing industrial coastal complex of Jose. The participation in both Mixed Enterprises will be PDVSA 60% and Eni 40% according to the terms of the new hydrocarbon law of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Eni drills another successful well at the giant Perla field, offshore Venezuela
Eni announces the successful results of the Perla 3 well, located in the Cardón IV Block, in the shallow water of the Gulf of Venezuela. This well confirms Perla as a world-class supergiant gas discovery, one of the most significant in recent years and the largest ever in Venezuela, upgrading current estimates of gas in place to over 14 Tcf (2.5 billion barrels of oil equivalent).

Eni enters the Republic of Togo through the acquisition of two offshore blocks
The Energy and Mines Minister Dammipi Noupokou of Togo and Eni CEO Paolo Scaroni, with the COO of Eni Exploration & Production Claudio Descalzi, signed today two Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) covering the country’s offshore area. These agreements sanction Eni entry in Togo.

Eni and Sonangol announce another important oil discovery at the Mpungi-1 well, offshore Angola.
