Wood Group secures EnQuest contract
Wood Group PSN has been awarded a new five year contract from EnQuest to provide engineering, design, construction, procurement and commissioning services to the Thistle, Heather and Northern Producer offshore assets in the North Sea. The terms of the contract reflect EnQuest’s ongoing focus on reducing costs and improving the efficiency of its North Sea offshore operations. Effective immediately, the contract includes extension options for up to a further five years.

EnQuest selects Technip for a large subsea contract
Technip was awarded by EnQuest earlier this year a large(1) engineering, procurement, installation and construction (EPCI) contract for the Kraken development located in the North Sea, 400 kilometers North-East of Aberdeen and 130 kilometers East of Shetland, at a water depth of approximately 120 meters.

ABB wins power and automation order for vessel in British North Sea
ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, has won an order from Armada Kraken Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Bumi Armada Berhad, a Malaysia-based international offshore oilfield services provider.
ABB will provide power and automation technologies for the floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel destined for the Kraken oil field, the biggest subsea oilfield project in the British North Sea.

Jumbo installs North Sea FPSO mooring spread
This year saw Jumbo complete stage one in the first offshore installation contract undertaken as main contractor. Using the J-class vessel, Fairplayer, Jumbo successfully installed an FPSO mooring spread for client EnQuest in the North Sea Alma and Galia field. The second stage of the project will take place in 2014. This will see the EnQuest Producer, currently in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, hooked up to the mooring spread.

Deltamarin designs FPSO unit for Bumi Armada
Deltamarin strengthens its position in the offshore oil and gas industry by signing a contract with Bumi Armada, for the basic design of a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit.

Wärtsilä topside power modules chosen for North Sea FPSO
Wärtsilä will supply a 62 MW topside power module solution for a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel to be deployed at the Kraken oilfield located in the U.K. sector of the North Sea. This EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) award has been given in December 2013 by Armada Kraken Pte.Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Malaysia based international offshore oilfield services provider, Bumi Armada.

Bumi Armada Signs Kraken Contract Worth Usd 1.4 Billion / Rm 4.6 Billion
Malaysia-based international offshore oilfield services provider, Bumi Armada Berhad announced that its nominated wholly-owned subsidiary, Armada Kraken Pte. Ltd. has signed a bareboat charter contract with EnQuest Heather Limited, EnQuest ENS Limited, First Oil and Gas Limited, Nautical Petroleum Limited and Nautical Petroleum AG as field partners, led by EnQuest Heather Limited as field operator on 20 Dec 2013 for a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading Vessel (“FPSO”) to be deployed at the Kraken field located in the UK sector of the North Sea.

The £4 billion Kraken development has been approved by its owners and by DECC
EnQuest PLC, the largest UK independent oil company in the UK North Sea, has given its go-ahead for a £4 billion investment in the c.140 million barrel oil field Kraken development, set to generate billions of revenue for taxpayers and to support an estimated 20,000 jobs during the project’s construction period and an average of approximately 1,000 operational jobs a year over the course of its 25 year life. The development has been approved by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (‘DECC’), this is the largest investment announced in the UK North Sea this year and one of the largest UK industrial investments for 2013.

OGN Group Secures EnQuest Producer FPSO Contract
OGN Group, the North East-England offshore engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) specialist, has secured a multi-million pound contract with independent UK oil and gas development and production company EnQuest, which will lead to the creation of 600 new project jobs at its Tyneside facility.

Bumi Armada Secures Letter Of Interim Agreement For Its First North Sea FPSO Contract
Malaysia-based international offshore oilfield services provider, Bumi Armada Berhad announced today that EnQuest Heather Limited together with EnQuest ENS Limited, First Oil and Gas Limited, Nautical Petroleum Limited and Nautical Petroleum AG have via a Letter of Interim Agreement (“LOIA”), confirmed their intention to award a contract for the supply and operations of a floating production, storage and offloading vessel (“FPSO”) to, Bumi Armada UK Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bumi Armada, to operate in the Kraken field (UKCS Block 9/02b) in the UK sector of the North Sea.
