Encana to acquire 30 percent interest in proposed Kitimat, B.C. liquefied natural gas export development
Encana Corporation (TSX, NYSE: ECA) has agreed to acquire a 30 percent interest in the planned Kitimat liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminal, located on the west coast of central British Columbia, and the associated natural gas pipeline. This proposed Kitimat LNG export development is intended to open tremendous new market opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region for abundant supplies of Canadian natural gas.

Kitimat LNG Partners to Purchase Pacific Trail Pipelines Interest
Kitimat LNG partners Apache Canada Ltd. (Apache Canada) and EOG Resources Canada Inc. (EOG Canada) today announced that they have agreed to purchase the 50 percent interest in the Pacific Trail Pipelines Limited Partnership (PTPLP) they do not own from Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (PNG) for $50 million.
