Excelerate’s FSRUs Perform the First STS Transfer of LNG at Engro Elengy LNG Terminal Pakistan
On July 17, 2015, Excelerate Energy L.P. (“Excelerate”) completed the first Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer of LNG at the Engro Elengy LNG Terminal located in Port Qasim, Pakistan. Excelerate’s floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), EXQUISITE, received 130,000 cubic meters of LNG from the FSRU EXCELERATE using the double-banked LNG transfer system. This transfer also marks the company’s 500th commercial STS operation using the double-banked cryogenic transfer system technology developed by Excelerate.

Engro Corporation and Excelerate Energy Commission Port Qasim LNG Terminal
On March 28, 2015, officials from Engro Corporation (“Engro”), Excelerate Energy (“Excelerate”), and the Government of Pakistan were present for the inauguration of Pakistan’s first LNG import terminal in Port Qasim. Located in a channel of the Indus River east of Karachi, the terminal is a result of a fast-track LNG import solution built to alleviate the energy shortage facing the country, and was brought into service 11 months from the start of construction. Utilizing Excelerate’s floating storage and regasification vessel (FSRU), the EXQUISITE, the facility has the capacity to deliver up to 690 MMcf/d of natural gas directly to Sui Southern Gas Company’s natural gas pipeline system.

Excelerate Energy’s Aguirre Offshore GasPort Project Receives EIS from FERC
Excelerate Energy (“Excelerate”), in cooperation with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (“PREPA”), has received the final Environmental Impact Statement (“EIS”) from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC”) for its Aguirre Offshore GasPort Project (“Project”) located offshore Puerto Rico. The EIS assesses the environmental impacts of the liquefied natural gas (“LNG”) terminal proposed by Excelerate and determines if the Project is suitable for construction and operation.

Excelerate Energy Appointed Midstream Partner for FLNG Project Offshore Equatorial Guinea
Excelerate Energy L.P. (“Excelerate”) today announced it has executed an agreement with the Government of Equatorial Guinea and Ophir Energy plc (“Ophir”) for the provision of a Floating Liquefaction Storage and Offloading vessel, or FLSO. The project, named Fortuna FLNG, will be located at Block R, Equatorial Guinea which is owned 80% by Ophir and 20% by the national oil company of Equatorial Guinea, GEPetrol. Excelerate will act as the lead in a consortium of technology providers that is expected to include Samsung Heavy Industries and Black & Veatch. Upon completion of Definitive Agreements and FID, Excelerate will build, own and operate the newbuild FLSO vessel and provide liquefaction services to Ophir. First gas is expected in 2019.

Excelerate Energy’s Aguirre Offshore GasPort Project Receives Draft EIS from FERC
Excelerate Energy, in cooperation with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA), has received the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for its Aguirre Offshore Gasport Project (AOGP) located offshore Puerto Rico. The FERC staff concludes in its statement that the construction and operation of the Project would result in limited adverse environmental impacts that would mostly occur only during construction. Moreover, the statement confirms the inherent benefits of the project; including, the diversification of Puerto Rico’s energy sources, allowing for PREPA to be MATS compliant, reducing barge traffic in Jobos Bay, and contributing to price stabilization for power in the region.

Excelerate Energy and Petrobangla in Agreement for Long-Term FSRU Charter and Construction of LNG Import Facility
Excelerate Energy and Petrobangla have reached agreement on terms for the development and operation of Bangladesh’s first LNG import terminal. The agreement includes the provision of one of Excelerate’s existing floating storage and regasification units (FSRU) under a 15-year long-term charter, as well as the design and construction of the facility. Located offshore near Moheshkhali Island in the Bay of Bengal, the terminal will provide much needed natural gas to the southeastern Chittagong region of Bangladesh.

Excelerate Energy and PREPA Sign Definitive Agreements for the Aguirre Offshore GasPort Project
Excelerate Energy and the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) have reached a significant milestone in their partnership by executing the definitive agreements for the procurement, construction and operation of the Aguirre Offshore GasPort terminal. The agreements include the provision of one of Excelerate’s floating storage and regasification units (FSRU) specifically designed to provide closed-loop regasification services, together with the design, construction and operation of an offshore terminal for the berthing of the FSRU and the reception and transfer of LNG from a wide array of LNG carriers. The definitive agreements are critical in advancing the efforts for detailed engineering and the procurement of long lead items for the project.

Naming Ceremony for the World’s Largest FSRU, the “Experience”
On March 20, 2014, Excelerate Energy celebrated the naming ceremony for its newest floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) “Experience” at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering’s (DSME) Okpo Shipyard, Korea. The Experience, constructed to provide long-term service for Brazil’s Petrobras, is the largest and most capable FSRU in the world with a storage capacity of 173,400 cubic meters and sendout capability of 1 billion cubic feet per day. The vessel is the ninth in Excelerate Energy’s fleet of FSRUs, making the company the industry’s largest operator of regasification vessels.

DSME Cuts Steel for Excelerate Energy’s VT3 Project
On September 14, 2012, DSME held a steel cutting ceremony for Excelerate Energy’s LNG regasification vessel Hull No. 2402, signifying the commencement of the construction process for the vessel. This vessel will ultimately provide service to Petrobras under long-term charter for its VT3 project in Guanabara Bay, Brazil, and is expected to be operational in the first half of 2014.
