ExxonMobil Licenses Oil Sands Steam Injection Technology to Baker Hughes
ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company has awarded the first license for its patented steam injection system and production method to Baker Hughes to improve the efficiency of in-situ oil sands projects. Approximately 80 percent of Canada’s oil sands can be produced using in-situ technology, which involves the injection of steam to enable bitumen to be extracted through drilling versus surface mining.

ExxonMobil to Restructure Holdings in Japan
ExxonMobil and TonenGeneral Sekiyu K.K have entered into an agreement which will result in the restructuring of ExxonMobil’s holdings in Japan. Under the terms of the agreement, TonenGeneral Sekiyu will purchase ExxonMobil’s shares in ExxonMobil Yugen Kaisha, integrating ExxonMobil Yugen Kaisha’s marketing operations with its existing manufacturing operations. This will result in a single, integrated downstream business better positioned to meet Japan’s energy needs. The transaction is valued at approximately US $3.9 billion.

PNG LNG project update
Santos has been advised by Exxon Mobil, operator of the PNG LNG project, that due to the stronger Australian dollar the estimated capital cost of the project has increased by US$0.7 billion to US$15.7 billion. Santos’ 13.5% share of the increased capital cost is approximately US$100 million.

Eaglewood Energy Announces Sale of Its Interest in PPL 260 to Exxon Mobil Subsidiary
Eaglewood Energy Inc. (TSX VENTURE:EWD) ("Eaglewood") is pleased to announce that it has executed an agreement to sell 20% of its 30% equity interest in PPL 260 in the PNG highlands to Esso PNG Exploration Limited ("Esso"), a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation. Energy Transfer Partners Announces Long-Term Agreement with XTO Energy to Provide Gathering and Processing Services in the Woodf
Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. (NYSE:ETP) today announced it has entered into a long-term, fee-based agreement with XTO Energy, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil, to provide natural gas gathering, processing and transportation services from both the Woodford and Barnett Shale regions. ETP will construct a 117-mile natural gas gathering pipeline from the Woodford Shale located in Oklahoma to its existing gathering and processing infrastructure in the Barnett Shale. As part of the project, the Partnership also will construct a new 200 million cubic feet per day cryogenic processing plant at its existing Godley processing facility in Johnson County, Texas.
