Statoil and ExxonMobil together on the Faroes
Statoil and ExxonMobil have agreed to explore three Faroese offshore licenses jointly.
ExxonMobil Exploration & Production Faroe Islands Limited will acquire 50% interest in Licenses 009 and 011 and 49% interest in License 006, where Atlantic Petroleum is a minority owner with 1% interest. Statoil Faroes AS will retain 50% interest and operatorship in all three licences.

Fluor to Perform Early Works in Iraq for ExxonMobil
Fluor Corporation (NYSE:FLR) announced today that ExxonMobil Iraq Limited has awarded the firm an early works program contract for the West Qurna (Phase I) field near Basra, Iraq. The engineering, procurement, construction and management contract is a reimbursable continuing services agreement for oil field and related infrastructure development with an expected duration of three years. Fluor will book the undisclosed contract value in each quarter as the work is released.

Exxon Mobil Corporation2 (NYSE:XOM) announced today that additions to its proved reserves in 2010 totaled 3.5 billion oil-equivalent barrels, replacing 209 percent of production. Excluding the impact of asset sales, reserves additions replaced 211 percent of production.

Sakhalin-1 Project Drills World’s Longest Extended-Reach Well
Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) announced today that its subsidiary, Exxon Neftegas Limited, has successfully drilled the world’s longest extended-reach well at the Odoptu field, offshore far east Russia. Exxon Neftegas is the operator of the Sakhalin-1 Project3 on behalf of an international consortium that includes affiliates of the Russian state company Rosneft RN-Astra and Sakhalinmorneftegas-Shelf; the Japanese corporation SODECO; and the Indian state oil company ONGC Videsh Ltd.

Petrohawk Energy Corporation Announces Sale of Fayetteville Shale Interests for $650 Million
Petrohawk Energy Corporation ("Petrohawk" or the "Company") (NYSE: HK) today announced that it has completed the sale of its natural gas assets in the Fayetteville Shale, located primarily in Cleburne and Van Buren Counties, Arkansas, to XTO Energy Inc., a subsidiary of ExxonMobil, for $575 million. The sale has an effective date of October 1, 2010.
