Air Products’ LNG Expertise Selected for PETRONAS FLNG Project in Malaysia
Air Products’ (NYSE: APD) global leading liquefied natural gas (LNG) technology and equipment will be floating on an LNG production platform 180 kilometers off the coast of Malaysia and producing 1.2 million tons per year of LNG when the PETRONAS Floating LNG Project 1 (PFLNG 1) comes onstream in late 2015. Air Products today announced the signing of an equipment and process license agreement with PETRONAS Floating LNG 1 Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad, the national oil and gas company of Malaysia.

Technip awarded subsea contract for Shell’s Prelude FLNG development
Technip has been awarded a large subsea installation contract by Shell Development (Australia) Pty Ltd for the Prelude Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) facility moored some 200 kilometers off the north west coast of Australia, in the Browse Basin, at a water depth of approximately 240 meters.

Technip awarded a key engineering contract for a FLNG in Malaysia
Technip, in a consortium with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd., has been awarded by Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) and MISC Berhad a front-end engineering and design contract for a floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) unit. The FLNG, which will have a capacity of one million-tonnes per annum, will be located in Malaysia.

Government Approval of the Development Plan of the Abadi Gas Field
INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) is pleased to announce today that the Plan of Development (POD) for the Abadi gas field in the Masela Block, the Arafura Sea, Indonesia, was approved by the Indonesian Government. The project has been undertaken by INPEX Masela, Ltd., a subsidiary of INPEX, as the operator, and its project partner PT EMP Energi Indonesia (EMPI), a subsidiary of PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk. The approved POD envisions the adoption of the Floating LNG (liquefied natural gas) for an optimal method for the commercial development.
