Noble Energy Announces Big Bend Discovery And Scotia Results
Noble Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NBL) today announced a discovery at the Big Bend exploration prospect in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The well, located in 7,200 feet of water on Mississippi Canyon Block 698, was drilled to a total depth of 15,989 feet. Open-hole logging identified approximately 150 feet of net oil pay in two high-quality Miocene reservoirs.

Commencement of Loligo well operations
FOGL, the oil and gas exploration company focused on its extensive licence areas to the South and East of the Falkland Islands, is pleased to announce the Loligo exploration well 42/07-01 was spudded on Friday 3 August 2012. The well is located approximately 200 km east of the Falkland Islands. FOGL is the operator of the well, holding a 75% interest, together with its joint venture partner Edison International Spa, who hold the remaining 25% interest in licence PL028. It is the first of a two well exploration programme using the Leiv Eriksson semi submersible drilling rig.

The well is designed to test the Loligo Complex, which is a large Tertiary aged stratigraphic trap with multiple reservoir objectives.

It is anticipated that the well operations will be around 60 days.

Farm-out agreement with Noble Energy
FOGL, the oil and gas exploration company focused on its extensive licence areas to the South and East of the Falkland Islands, is pleased to announce the execution of a farm-out agreement with Noble Energy Falklands Limited ("Noble"), an affiliate of Noble Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NBL), a leading global exploration and production company. The license position consists of 40,000 square kilometers (10 million acres).

Leiv Eiriksson Rig on Contract
FOGL, the oil and gas exploration company focused on its extensive licence areas to the South and East of the Falkland Islands, notes the announcement made today regarding the 'Completion of the 2012 drilling programme' by Borders & Southern Petroleum plc. The Leiv Eiriksson is now under contract to FOGL and its joint venture partner Edison International Spa. The rig has commenced its move to the Loligo well location.

A further update will be provided once the well has spudded.
