Axens’ VGO HDS technology selected by Total for its Donges Refinery, France
Axens VGO HDS technology has been selected by Total for a new vacuum gasoil (VGO) hydro desulfurization unit at the Donges refinery (France). The unit is designed to process around 40,000 BPD (barrels per day) and will allow Total producing low sulfur fuels meeting the evolution of EU specifications.

Total’s French Refining Roadmap: Upgrade Donges And Transform La Mède
Total today presented its French refining roadmap to employee representatives. The plan is designed to give each Total’s refining site in France the means to resist in a volatile environment and perform profitably. Under the plan, Total will invest to upgrade the Donges refinery in western France and transform the La Mède refinery in southern France, to ensure they thrive going forward.

GDF SUEZ: 50th anniversary of the first LNG commercial chain between Algeria and France

Foundation stone laid for the Dunkirk LNG terminal
Henri Proglio, Chairman and CEO of EDF, today laid the foundation stone in the presence of Michel Delebarre, Member of the French Senate, Mayor of Dunkirk and Chairman of the Urban Community of Dunkirk. The Dunkirk LNG terminal is expected to be commissioned towards the end of 2015 and is the second largest industrial construction site in France after the EPR site at Flamanville.
