Total announced today that it has finalized agreements with Vermilion Exploration SAS and Vermilion Pyrénées SAS to divest six producing assets in France. The assets concerned, which account for 0.15% of Total’s global production, are being transferred to an operator with recognized expertise in mature fields.

LyondellBasell Finds No Buyer for Berre, France Refinery
LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB) today announced that the sales offering for the 105,000 barrels-per-day refinery in Berre, France has resulted in no offer to purchase the refinery. As a result, Compagnie Petrochimique de Berre S.A.S. (CPB), the refinery operator, intends to initiate consultations with its works councils, as defined under French law, on a project to cease refinery operations.

TOTAL awards to TR a Gasoil Hydrodesulphurization Unit for its Normandy Refinery
Total has selected Técnicas Reunidas for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of a new Gasoil Hydrodesulphurization Unit (HDS) for its Normandy Refinery. This contract has been awarded under the EPC Lump Sum Turn Key model and it is worth around € 100 million.

EDF announces its final investment decision in the methane terminal at Dunkirk
EDF announces its final investment decision in respect of the methane terminal at Dunkirk besides Fluxys G and Total which have both signed agreements giving them shares of 25 % and 10 % respectively in Dunkirk LNG. This company which is responsible for building the industrial installations for the terminal is now 65 %-owned by EDF. The three partners will thus share the €1 billion investment in Dunkirk LNG, based on their respective shareholding in the company.

SENER to perform turnkey project for the Dunkerque Regasification Plant
SENER Ingeniería y Sistemas has signed an LNG contract with Dunkerque LNG, a subsidiary company of EDF, for the development of a regasification plant in the city of Dunkerque, in northern France. SENER has been awarded this EPC contract as part of the TS LNG consortium made up of SENER and Techint.

EDF confirms its investment in Dunkirk methane terminal project
EDF, via its subsidiary Dunkerque LNG, has confirmed its investment in the Dunkirk methane terminal project, at the Le Clipon site in Loon-Plage. The announcement follows the decision by the Grand Port Maritime de Dunkerque (Dunkirk port) to approve the project in May 2010.

Petroplus To Commence Conversion Of The Reichstett Refinery To A Terminal
Petroplus Holdings AG (SIX: PPHN) today announced the conclusion of the formal information and consultation process with the Reichstett Refinery Works Council to propose terms to cease refining operations and convert the site to a terminal. Following the end of this process, the Company has decided to discontinue refining operations and convert the site to a terminal. Petroplus has agreed with the Works Council to put a job protection plan in place to mitigate the effects of this decision through measures such as offering alternative job opportunities within the Company, assistance in finding new employment, early retirements, and severance packages.
