Apollonia well confirms extension of Júpiter discovery in pre-salt Santos basin
Galp Energia, partner of the consortium for the exploration of Block BM-S-24, informs that the preliminary results obtained during the drilling of well 3-BRSA-1246-RJS (3-RJS-732), informally known as Apollonia, have confirmed the presence of hydrocarbons and the extension of the Júpiter discovery in the pre-salt Santos basin.

Galp Energia proves discovery in deepwaters of the Potiguar basin
Galp Energia, partner of the consortium for the exploration of concession BM-POT-17, informs that it concluded the drilling of the exploration well 1-BRS-A-1025-RNS (1-RNS-158), informally known as Pitú, located in the offshore of Potiguar basin, in Brazil. The results proved the discovery, already announced on 17 December 2013, of oil in deepwaters of that basin.

Regarding the farm-out process between Petrobras and BP Energy do Brasil, Petrobras will remain the operator of concession BM-POT-17, as opposed to what had been previously published. Galp Energia, partner of the consortium for exploration in block BM-S-11, informs that it concluded the drilling of the well 3-RJS-715D (3-BRSA-1181D-RJS), informally known as Iara High Angle (HA), located in the central area of Iara Evaluation Plan in the pre-salt Santos basin. This is the fifth exploration well in Iara area, being located 4 km to the North of the discovery well (1-RJS-656), informally known as Iara, and 225 km off the coast of Rio de Janeiro at a water depth of 2,128 metres.

Galp Energia, partner of the consortium for the exploration of block BM-S-11, informs about the conclusion of the drilling and of the formation test of the fourth exploratory well in the Iara area, in block BM-S-11, in the pre-salt of Santos basin.

Murombe-1 exploration well results
Galp Energia announces that the Murombe-1 exploration well, the second well in the 2013 exploration drilling campaign offshore Republic of Namibia, has been concluded and the results proved it to be a dry hole. The Murombe-1 well, located in the Petroleum Exploration License (PEL) 23 and spudded on June 1, was drilled in water depths of circa 1,390 meters and has reached a final depth of 5,729 meters. The well is currently being plugged and abandoned.

Galp Energia informs that on 10 January, the hydrocracking complex installed at the Sines refinery, under the refineries upgrade project, began the commercial production stage. This event marks the conclusion of the upgrade project at the Sines and Matosinhos refineries, initiating a new era in Galp Energia’s refining business.

Galp Energia, partner of the consortium for the exploration of block BM-S-8, informs about the conclusion of the drilling of the well 4-SPS-86B (4-BRSA-971-SPS), located in the block BM-S-8, in ultra-deep waters of the pre-salt Santos basin. This is the third well drilled in the area of the Evaluation Plan approved for the 1-BRSA-532A-SPS (Bem-te-vi) discovery.
