Full-scale production drilling starts at Novoportovskoye field
Work has begun on production drilling at the Gazprom Neft Novoportovskoye field. A total nine wells are to be drilled to the end of this year: a three-year development plan at Novy Port, scheduled to run to 2016, envisages the construction of five multi-well pads and the drilling of 60 wells.

Gazprom Neft begins exploratory drilling at the Dolginskoye field in the Arctic
Gazpromneft-Sakhalin, a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, has started drilling a new exploration well in the Dolginskoye field on the continental shelf in the Pechora sea. The work is being carried out during the ice-free months of 2014 and will involve drilling a single well to a depth of 3,500m and conducting a full range of geological investigations. The experience gained from previous work on the continental shelf, including at the relatively nearby Prirazlomnoye field also operated by Gazprom Neft, was taken into account during preparations for the exploration programme.

Dolginskoye field development project wins approval in public consultations
Project documentation for drilling in 2014 of an exploration well at the Dolginskoye field on the shelf of the Pechora Sea has been approved following public consultations, which were held in December 2013 in the town of Naryan-Mar (Nenets Autonomous District). The approved documents include a prevention and response plan for oil spills as well as an environmental impact assessment. The project documentation has been supplemented by an environmental sensitivity map of the region, prepared on the basis of monitoring, which was carried out at the license block in 2013.

CB&I Awarded FEED Contract for Hydrocracker Complex in Russia
CB&I (NYSE: CBI) announced today it has been awarded a contract by JSC Gazprom Neft for front end engineering and design (FEED) services for a new oil refining complex at Gazprom Neft's refinery in Omsk, Western Siberia, Russia. The existing refinery is currently the largest operating refinery in Russia.

Moscow refinery switches to Euro-5 fuel production
A catalytic cracking and hydrotreating unit and light naphtha isomerisation unit have been put into operation at Gazprom Neft’s Moscow refinery. Sergei Sobyanin, Moscow’s acting mayor, has visited the new facilities. Commissioning of the new units enabled the refinery to switch to the production of Class-5 fuels, according to Russian motor fuel specifications (Russian equivalent of Euro-5) in 2013, 2,5 years ahead of schedule.

Gazpromneft-Angara gets first commercial rates on Tympuchikanskoye oil field
As a result of hydraulic fracturing (HF) on the Tympuchikanskoye oil field, well no. 96 has begun to gush oil at a rate of 120 cubic metres per day.

Gazprom Neft acquires controlling stake in Gazprom Neft Orenburg
Gazprom Neft has completed its purchase of a controlling stake in ZAO Gazprom Neft Orenburg, which holds the licence for the Eastern part of the Orenburg Field. The 61.8% stake was valued at 3.576 billion rubles, the purchase has been approved by Gazprom and Gazprom Neft boards of directors. The company is also preparing to buy the remaining shares in ZAO Gazprom Neft Orenburg (belonging to Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg) and part of the field's infrastructure (owned by Gazprom).

10-Percent Throughput Increase at Omsk Refinery
The Omsk Refinery shows a 10-percent throughput growth during 7 months of 2011 as compared to the same period last year, which makes 11.7 mln tons. The refinery has manufactured about 2.5 mln tons of motor gasolines and 3.7 mln tons of diesel fuel, correspondingly 21% and 10% up as compared to the last year’s figures.

Gazprom Neft enters project in the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Republic of Cuba in the Gulf of Mexico
On July 29, 2011 Gazprom Neft, Cubapetroleo (Cupet), the Cuban national oil company and Petronas, the Malaysian national oil company, signed a Supplementary Agreement to the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) on four blocks in the exclusive economic zone of the Republic of Cuba in the Gulf of Mexico. Following the signing, Gazprom Neft becomes a party in the PSC and acquires 30% of the project, while Petronas retains 70% in the project.

Gazprom Neft Begins Production of Grade 5 Petrol at Omsk Refinery
In July this year, the Omsk Oil Refinery owned by Gazprom Neft began production of Super Euro-98 petrol, which meets the requirements of ecological class 5. Thiswasmadepossibleby the use of benzene isomerate in the production process. This is a high-octane component of modern motor fuel with zero sulphur content, aromatic and unsaturated hydrocarbons.Russia’s and Europe’s largest Isomalk-2 installation, which produces the isomerate, was commissioned by the Omsk facility in October 2010. To date, the plant has produced more than 151 thousand tonnes of this component.
