GDF SUEZ concludes a 2.5 million tons of LNG sale to Petronas LNG Ltd
GDF SUEZ has entered into an agreement with Petronas LNG Ltd.1, a wholly owned subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas), the national oil company of Malaysia, under which, GDF SUEZ will supply Petronas LNG with 2.5 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from August 2012 over a 3.5 year period. The cargoes will be sourced from GDF SUEZ’ LNG portfolio.

Technip awarded a contract for the Gjøa field in Norway
Technip was awarded by GDF SUEZ an engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract, worth approximately €45 million, for the Gjøa field development located in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.

GDF SUEZ becomes a natural gas storage leader in Germany and number 1 in Europe
GDF SUEZ through its subsidiary Storengy has agreed today to buy five natural gas underground storage facilities in Germany and a 19.7% stake in another one. The transaction covers the storage facilities held by BEB Speicher GmbH and by ExxonMobil Gasspeicher Deutschland GmbH. Whilst BEB Speicher GmbH is an affiliate of BEB Erdgas und Erdöl GmbH (BEB) which in turn is a joint venture between Shell and ExxonMobil, ExxonMobil Gasspeicher Deutschland GmbH (EMGSG) is an ExxonMobil affiliate.

GDF SUEZ in Norway: Gjøa field officially opened

Statoil New licenses offshore Greenland

GDF SUEZ takes over operatorship of the Norwegian gas & oil field Gjøa
On Thursday 25 November the operatorship for the Gjøa field was transferred from Statoil to GDF SUEZ E&P Norge AS. The operatorship’s transfer of such a producing asset on the Norwegian continental shelf represents a milestone for both GDF SUEZ and the Norwegian petroleum sector.

GDF SUEZ to build on-shore LNG storage tank in Chile: share increased in LNG regasification terminal company, GNLM
GDF SUEZ is to further consolidate its position in Chile through the construction of an on-shore LNG storage tank in the North of Chile. The tank is part of the GNL Mejillones terminal, which GDF SUEZ jointly owns with Codelco, the world’s main copper producer.
