Nord Stream Completes Phase II Financing
Financing for the Nord Stream project is secured: Today, the company together with its shareholders in the consortium, OAO Gazprom, E.ON Ruhrgas AG, BASF SE/Wintershall Holding GmbH, N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie, and GDF SUEZ S.A. announced the successful signing of Phase II financing of the pipeline project. The project financing for Phase II amounts to 2.5 billion euros.

GE Oil & Gas Selected for $120M Trans Europa Naturgas Pipeline Upgrade
GE Oil & Gas has been awarded a contract of more than $120 million (€90 million) to overhaul nine gas turbines located at four compression stations along the Trans Europa Naturgas Pipeline (TENP), which runs across Germany from the Dutch to the Swiss border.

GDF SUEZ becomes a natural gas storage leader in Germany and number 1 in Europe
GDF SUEZ through its subsidiary Storengy has agreed today to buy five natural gas underground storage facilities in Germany and a 19.7% stake in another one. The transaction covers the storage facilities held by BEB Speicher GmbH and by ExxonMobil Gasspeicher Deutschland GmbH. Whilst BEB Speicher GmbH is an affiliate of BEB Erdgas und Erdöl GmbH (BEB) which in turn is a joint venture between Shell and ExxonMobil, ExxonMobil Gasspeicher Deutschland GmbH (EMGSG) is an ExxonMobil affiliate.

Shell negotiating partial sale of the refinery Harburg
The Shell Oil Company Germany, today and employee representation bodies on notice that it is negotiating with potential buyers for the sale of base oil production and related facilities at the refinery in Hamburg Harburg. At the same time are not salable parts of the refinery for the long-term operation as a terminal for the storage and handling will be converted from oil products. The discussions with the participation bodies to be included immediately.

Rosneft to Acquire 50% of Ruhr Oel GmbH
Rosneft today agreed with Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (“PDVSA”) to acquire PDVSA’s 50% stake in Ruhr Oel GmbH. The agreement was signed in the Kremlin in the presence of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
