Production Start-up of Cascade field in Gulf of Mexico ultra deep water
Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras informs that on February 25, 2012, it was started the production of Cascade field through Cascade 4 well, interconnected to FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading unit) BW Pioneer, located approximately 250 kilometers off the coast of Louisiana State, in a 2500 meters water depth in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.

Foster Wheeler Awarded Contract by Discovery Gas Transmission for Services in the Gulf of Mexico

Cal Dive Awarded Decommissioning Contract
Cal Dive International, Inc. (NYSE:DVR) announced today that it has been awarded a Field Abandonment and Decommissioning Contract from an operator in the Gulf of Mexico which includes the abandonment of sixteen wells, seven pipelines, and the removal of eight structures. The contract is expected to generate total revenue of approximately $25 million and will utilize two of the Company's key assets. Work on this project will commence in the first quarter of 2012 and is expected to be completed by the end of June 2012.

Court Order Dismisses Dril-Quip, Inc. From Claims in Deepwater Horizon Litigation
Dril-Quip, Inc. (NYSE: DRQ) today announced that Judge Carl J. Barbier, the federal court judge in the Eastern District of Louisiana presiding over the multi-district proceeding In Re: Oil Spill by the Oil Rig "Deepwater Horizon" in the Gulf of Mexico, on April 20, 2010, issued an order on January 20, 2012 granting Dril-Quip's Motion for Summary Judgment and dismissing all claims asserted against Dril-Quip. In issuing the order, the court stated that it found no evidence showing that any equipment manufactured by Dril-Quip, Inc. played any role in causing or contributing to the blowout.

Umbilicals contract to Aker Solutions
Aker Solutions has been awarded a contract for eight steel tube umbilicals by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation for the Lucius field located in the Gulf of Mexico. The contract value is undisclosed.

Alliance Engineering awarded detailed topsides engineering and design for Williams Partners’ Gulfstar One, Tubular Bells Field
Wood Group’s Alliance Engineering has been awarded the detailed engineering and design of the topside facilities and deck for Williams Partners’ Gulfstar FPS™ spar production platform. This wet-tree platform will be installed in block 768 of the Gulf of Mexico’s Mississippi Canyon area to produce oil and gas from the Tubular Bells field, which is owned by Hess Corporation (Operator) and Chevron U.S.A. Inc.
