Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced today that it was selected by Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) to perform project management services for its projects to be executed at its world-scale Jamnagar refining and petrochemical complex on the west coast of India in Gujarat.

GDF SUEZ has been selected by Andhra Pradesh Gas Distribution Corporation (APGDC), as strategic partner for the development of a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal project, on the East coast of India.

Trafigura invests USD250M in Nagarjuna oil refinery & storage facilities in India
Trafigura Pte Ltd today announced the investment of up to USD130 million into a significant equity stake (up to approx. 24%) in the Nagarjuna Oil Corporation Limited (NOCL) oil refinery. The refinery is being constructed at Cuddalore in the State of Tamil Nadu, India. In addition to acquiring an equity stake, Trafigura will invest a further USD120 million into the construction of extensive storage facilities and associated infrastructure at the refinery’s 2,500 acre site.

BPCL to expand Kochi refinery by 63%
Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) said it will expand its Kochi refinery by 63%, slightly higher than previously planned, by December 2015 and upgrade the refinery to process cheaper, high-sulphur crude to improve margins and products.

East West Petroleum Signs NELP-IX Production Sharing Contract In India
East West Petroleum Corp. (the “Company” or “East West Petroleum”) is pleased to announce the Company has signed a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) for Block AA-ONN-2010/2 with the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons of India in a signing ceremony held March 28th, 2012 in New Delhi. Partners in this NELP IX bid round Block are Oil India Ltd. (operator, 40%), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India (30%), and Gas Authority of India Ltd. (20%) and East West Petroleum (10%). The AA-ONN-2010/2 exploration Block lies in the Assam-Arakan Basin oil producing region of northeast India, a proven proliferous region where more than 100 fields have been found. Current production from the region is estimated at 95,000 boepd.

Production Goes on Stream from Phase-III Project
Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited. With the commissioning of Crude and Vacuum Distillation Unit-III(CDU/VDU-III) on March 29, 2012, production goes on stream from Phase-III Refinery Expansion-cum-Upgradation Project of MRPL. Thus, the name plate capacity of MRPL Refinery goes up to 15 MMTPA from 11.82 MMTPA.

Foster Wheeler Awarded Contract for an LNG Receiving Terminal in India
Foster Wheeler AG (Nasdaq: FWLT) announced today that its India subsidiary, Foster Wheeler India Private Limited, part of its Global Engineering and Construction Group, has been awarded a contract for a new LNG receiving terminal to be built in Ennore, in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The contract was awarded by India’s national oil company, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).
