Heritage Oil Announces the Discovery of a Major Gas Field in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq
Heritage Oil Plc (LSE: HOIL), an independent upstream exploration and production company, announces a major gas discovery in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (“Kurdistan”). Following completion of the deepening and testing of the Miran West-2 well, management estimates that the Miran West structure has P90-P50 gross in-place volumes of gas of between 6.8-9.1 trillion cubic feet (TCF) with 42-71 MMbbls of condensate and 53-75 MMbbls of oil.

Rumaila Exceeds 10% Improved Production Target
The Rumaila Operating Organisation (ROO) has met a major milestone in the re-development of the super-giant field in Southern Iraq by increasing production by more than 10 per cent above the 1.066 million barrels a day (b/d) initial production rate agreed in December 2009.

Eni achieves key production milestone in the Zubair field, in Iraq
Eni has achieved the first production milestone under the Zubair Technical Service Contract (TSC) with Iraq's state-owned South Oil Company (SOC). Eni, with a 32.81% share, is the lead contractor of the consortium formed for the redevelopment of the Zubair field, near Basra in southern Iraq. Other partners are the Iraqi Missan Oil Company (25%), Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy, 23.44%) and Korea Gas Corporation (Kogas, 18.75%).

Gazprom Neft Announces First Tender Results in Iraq
Gazprom Neft is pleased to announce the first results of a number of public tenders, following its 2009 appointment to develop Iraq's Badra oil field. These public tenders were initiated by Gazprom Neft Badra B.V., a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft established to implement the Badra oil field project.

October is Busiest Month Yet for Rumaila Operations
October saw the highest levels of activity on the Rumaila oilfield in southern Iraq since the Technical Service Agreement was signed in 2009 and BP was appointed Lead Contractor. Activity has focused on improving oil production from existing wells, bringing new wells on stream and ensuring flowlines and other field infrastructure is tied-in to support increased production.
In October, a total of 20 drilling rigs were working on the field, including those operated under new contracts by Daqing, Weatherford and a consortium of Schlumberger and IDC. Seven of these were drilling into the main pay of the reservoir and 13 were workover rigs, installing electrical submersible pumps (ESPs).

Murphy Oil Announces New Acreage In Kurdistan
Murphy Oil Corporation (NYSE: MUR) announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Murphy Central Dohuk Oil Co., Ltd., has finalized an agreement with the Kurdistan Regional Government-Iraq (KRG) to acquire an interest in the Central Dohuk block. Murphy will operate and hold a 50% interest in the block. The Central Dohuk block covers approximately 619 square kilometers and is located in the Dohuk area of the Kurdistan region.

KCA DEUTAG establishes presence in Iraq
KCA DEUTAG, the international drilling and engineering contractor, today announced that it has commenced operations in Iraq, with the deployment of one rig in the north of the country and a second being mobilised shortly.
