Rosneft completes acquisition of minority stake in Saras S.p.A.
Rosneft JV Projects S.A., an indirect 100% subsidiary of Rosneft announces, pursuant to Article 41, paragraph 2, letter c) of the Consob Regulation no. 11971/1999, that on April 23, 2013 it completed the acquisition of 130,290,883 shares of Saras S.p.A. (representing approximately 13.70% of the issued share capital of Saras S.p.A.), for a total consideration of Euro 178,498,510, from Angelo Moratti S.a.p.A., Gian Marco Moratti and Massimo Moratti pursuant to the share sale and purchase agreement executed on April 15, 2013 and already communicated to the market.

Total Sells 25% Interest in Italy's Tempa Rossa Field to Mitsui
Total today announces that it has finalized an agreement to sell a 25% interest in the Tempa Rossa field, located in the Basilicata region of southern Italy, to Mitsui E&P Italia A S.r.l. The Group is retaining a 50% interest in the Gorgoglione concession and operatorship. Shell holds the remaining 25%.

ABB wins $40 million order to upgrade oil transportation infrastructure in Italy
ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, has won a contract worth about $40 million to extend the export terminal of the eni refinery in Taranto, located in the “Mar Grande” bay on the Ionian Sea in southern Italy. The order was booked in the fourth quarter 2012.
The contract is part of eni’s plan to improve the refinery infrastructure and to ensure a reliable connection with the onshore Tempa Rossa oil plant. The refinery is located at the export terminal and is connected to the oil field through an underground pipeline. The plan includes the extension of an existing pier.

Italy’s largest refiner to use Honeywell’s UOP/Eni Ecofining process technology at Venice refinery
UOP LLC, a Honeywell (NYSE: HON) company, announced today that Italy’s largest energy company, Eni S.p.A., will produce renewable diesel using Honeywell’s UOP/Eni Ecofining™ process at its facility in Venice.

Eni: a new future for the Refinery of Venice
Today, Eni met local and national institutions as well as trade unions to explain the Green Refinery process which will lead to the conversion of the Venice Refinery into a "bio-refinery", producing innovative and high quality bio-fuels. The project, which involves an estimated investment of approximately 100 million euro, is the first in the world to convert a conventional refinery into bio-refinery and is based on Ecofining technology developed and patented by Eni.

Rosneft President Igor Sechin Meets Saras S.p.A. Chaiman and CEO
President of Rosneft Igor Sechin and Chairman of the Board of Saras S.p.A. Gian Marco Moratti and CEO of Saras S.p.A. Massimo Moratti met in Rome to discuss possible co-operation between the two companies including but not limited to crude supply to the Sarroch refinery in Sardinia. The parties agreed to form a working group that will review joint commercial opportunities.

ERG pulls out of LNG regasification terminal development project in Sicily
At its meeting earlier today, the ERG S.p.A. Board of Directors resolved to withdraw from the project to build a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) regasification terminal in the Municipality of Melilli (province of Syracuse), with an annual capacity of 8 billion cubic metres.

The Trans Adriatic Pipieline AG (TAP) is today launching an “Expression of Interest”, which is a first, non-binding phase of the market test. This means that all interested parties including transmission system operators (TSOs) and relevant institutions (governments, ministries of EU Member and non-Member States, financial institutions), as well as market operators, are invited to express to TAP their interest in contracting capacity, or in connecting to the TAP pipeline, or to submit data and information to the Authorities in order for the Authorities to assess the five criteria set out in Article 36.1 of the Directive.
