Yokogawa Electric Corporation announces that Yokogawa Solution Service Corporation, a subsidiary that oversees Yokogawa's IA and control business in Japan, has received an order from JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation (JXE) to execute the front end engineering design (FEED) for a project to consolidate the control rooms and systems at its Mizushima-A oil refinery.

Arrival of the First LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Carrier at Naoetsu LNG Terminal, Japan
INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) celebrated the arrival of the first LNG carrier “TANGGUH FOJA” (capacity 154,800m3) at Naoetsu LNG Terminal, located in Joetsu City (at its Naoetsu Port Area), Niigata Prefecture, Japan. INPEX has been engaged in construction of Naoetsu LNG Terminal since 2009, and commissioning has commenced this month for its full-scale commercial operation planned in January 2014.

Cosmo Oil, Implementation of Restructuring of Refinery Supply
Cosmo Oil Co., Ltd. (President: Keizo Morikawa) has been working on the 5th Consolidated Medium-Term Management Plan (MTMP) with the theme: "5 years to establish a solid business foothold for Cosmo Oil Group's further expansion." Eni signs mid-term agreement for the sale of LNG to Japan and South Korea
Eni has signed a tripartite agreement with Korea Gas Corporation and Chubu Electric Power Company for the sale of 28 cargoes of LNG (or 1,7 Mton of LNG) over the period 2013-2017.

Construction plan of an LNG Receiving Terminal in Soma and a Connecting Pipeline
Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "the Company”) has decided to start a Front-End Engineering Design, and begin discussions with related government agencies and so on to construct an LNG receiving terminal in Shinchi Town, Fukushima Prefecture (Soma Port) along with a connecting pipeline. The vaporized LNG gas received at the terminal is to be carried to the Company’s Niigata-Sendai Pipeline, through the connecting pipeline to be connected at Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture.

MHI Begins Construction of First "Sayaendo" New-generation LNG Carrier
Today Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) began construction of the first ship in its "Sayaendo" Series, which it has developed as a new-generation liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, at the company's Nagasaki Shipyard & Machinery Works. The LNG carrier is one of two ships ordered jointly by Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) in October 2011. The Sayaendo Series has a hull shape that evolved from LNG carriers with Moss-type* hemispherical tanks, and it offers significant improvements in fuel consumption and maintainability. The unit now being built is slated for delivery in the fiscal year 2014 (ending March 31, 2015).
