Fluor Joint Venture Awarded Contract for Tengizchevroil's Wellhead Pressure Management Project in Kazakhstan
Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced today its joint venture with WorleyParsons, the Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas (KING) and KazGiproNefteTrans Engineering Company (KGNT EC) was awarded a contract by Tengizchevroil, LLP (TCO) for its Wellhead Pressure Management Project in Kazakhstan. Fluor booked its share of the undisclosed project value into its backlog in the first quarter of 2012.

CPC Terminal April Oil Liftings Back to Record 2010 Monthly Average
Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) Marine Terminal in Novorossiysk loaded 2.906 MT of crude oil for export in April 2012, up 6.7% on April 2011. So its last month's throughput was back up to reach the monthly average of record liftings in 2010 when the CPC Marine Terminal exported almost 35 MT using DRA.

In total, the CPC Marine Terminal has loaded over 285 million tons of crude oil since the pipeline was commissioned in October 2001. CPC is currently implementing aт Expansion project to bring its capacity up to 67 MTA. A number of Expansion Phase 1 facilities are planned to be completed this year. New capacities will be commissioned at the pump stations that are being upgraded. To tie-in the new equipment CPC has developed a special schedule of system shutdowns in May, August and October this year, lasting 3 days each.

Chevron Provides Further Detail on the Future Growth Project at the Tengiz Field in Kazakhstan
Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX) today reports that its affiliate Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) expects to enter front-end engineering and design (FEED) in 2012 for an expansion project to increase total daily production between 250,000 and 300,000 barrels.

Awarded Contract for Atyrau Refinery Modernization Project Phase 3 in Kazakhstan
Marubeni Corporation (Marubeni) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract for the Atyrau Refinery (owned by KazMunayGas) Modernization Project Phase 3 in Kazakhstan as part of a consortium with SINOPEC Engineering and KazStroyService. The total project amount is approximately 1.7 billion USD.

KMG EP acquires “Karpovskiy Severnyi” exploration block
Astana, 28 December 2011. KazMunaiGas Exploration Production JSC (“KMG EP” or “the Company”) announced the closing of the acquisition of 100% of shares in Karpovskiy Severnyi JSC from GazMunaiOnim LLP for 59 mln USD. Karpovskiy Severnyi JSC is a subsoil use right holder under the Contract for Exploration of Oil, Gas and Condensate at Karpovskiy Severnyi (“the Block”) contract area in the Western Kazakhstan region. The deal was approved on 18 October 2011 by the Board of Directors of KMG EP. All regulatory approvals have also been received.

Eni signs an agreement with the Republic of Kazakhstan for the settlement of existing disputes and the entry of KMG in KPO
Today in Astana, the companies forming the Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V consortium (KPO): Eni (co-operator 32,5%), BG Group (co-operator 32,5%), Chevron (20%) and Lukoil (15%), signed a binding agreement with the Republic of Kazakhstan for the settlement of all the existing disputes and the entry of the national oil company KazMunaiGaz (KMG) in the consortium.

ONGC Videsh Limited signs a tripartite agreement with Kazmunaigaz, Kazakhstan
ONGC Videsh Limited signed a tripartite agreement with the Ministry of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan and Kazmunaigaz, the national oil company of Kazakhstan amending a E&P Contract, to give effect to OVL’s 25% participating interest in the Satpayev Block in the oil rich north Caspian Sea of Kazakhstan. The potential oil resources jointly estimated for this block is 1.8 billion barrels. Oil is expected to flow by 2020. The Agreement was signed by Mr Joeman Thomas, Director (Exploration), OVL and Mr Sauat Mynbayev, Minister of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan, Mr Bolat Akchulakov, President of Kaznmunaigaz in the presence of Shri R P N Singh, Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas at the Ministry of Oil and Gas in Astana on 12th October, 2011.
