KBR Awarded FEED Contract for World-Scale LNG Project in British Columbia
KBR (NYSE: KBR) today announced it was awarded a contract by Pacific NorthWest LNG Ltd., a subsidiary of Malaysia’s state-owned oil company (PETRONAS) and Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX), to execute front-end engineering and design (FEED) and early detailed engineering work for a world-scale LNG export facility at Lelu Island near Prince Rupert, British Columbia. KBR is partnered with JGC Corporation for the project.

KBR to Conduct Turnaround Services for Suncor Energy’s Refinery in Edmonton, AB, Canada

KBR Awarded Subsea 7 Topsides Contract for Chevron Lianzi Offshore Project

KBR Wins Fabrication Award for First Canadian Oil Sands Carbon Capture and Storage Project in Alberta, Canada
KBR (NYSE: KBR) announced today that Shell Canada Energy has selected KBR to perform off-site modularization and pipe fabrication at their Edmonton Module Facility. This historic project will use Shell Quest Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies to reduce CO2 emissions at Shell’s Upgrader which upgrades oil originating from Shell’s Athabasca Oil Sands operations. This technology will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by capturing more than one million metric tons of CO2 per year produced during the upgrading process.

KBR Awarded Veba Combi Cracker License and Engineering Services Contract in Cambodia
KBR (NYSE: KBR) today announced it was awarded a contract by Cambodian Petrochemical Co. Ltd (CPC) to provide licensing and engineering services for the Veba Combi Cracker (VCC) Unit to be implemented in the Kampong Som Petrochemical Industrial Zone of Cambodia. Tianjin Petrochemical Engineering Design Co. LTD. (TPED), the EPC Contractor for the Unit, executed the agreements on behalf of CPC.

KBR and AYTB to Provide Long-Term Maintenance Services for SATORP Refinery in Jubail, Saudi Arabia
KBR (NYSE: KBR) and AYTB announced today that they have signed a seven-year contract to provide refinery maintenance services for the Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) at a new 400,000 bpd refinery in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The refinery represents both a major investment by SATORP, and – as a single construction effort – a unique technical challenge due to its world-class scale and complexity. The contract value is in the approximate range between $140 million and $170 million, depending on services. Production is expected to commence in 2013.

KBR to Execute FEED for Mansuriya Full Field Development for Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company
KBR (NYSE: KBR) today announced that it has been awarded the Mansuriya Full Field Development contract to perform front end engineering and design (FEED) studies and Quality Control Support Services (QCSS) for the Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company (TPOC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), in Diyala Province, Republic of Iraq. The Mansuriya project is expected to help alleviate current problems with intermittent electricity experienced in Iraq by supplying fuel to power stations and feedstock for industrial plants.

KBR to Execute Oil Sands Tailings Management Project for Syncrude Canada Ltd.
KBR (NYSE:KBR) announced today that it was awarded two contracts for Syncrude Canada Ltd. (Syncrude) to execute module fabrication and field construction for its Fluid Fine Tailings – Centrifuging Full Scale Plant (FFT-CFSP) in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. Syncrude, which operates a surface mining oil sands plant in northeastern Alberta, is currently implementing a multi-pronged approach to manage tailings – the byproduct of the bitumen extraction process.
