Kinder Morgan, Inc. (NYSE: KMI) and Shell today announced that they have reached an agreement for Kinder Morgan to purchase 100 percent of Shell's equity interest in Elba Liquefaction Company, LLC (ELC), the owner of the Elba Liquefaction Project, which is proposed to be constructed and operated at the existing Elba Island LNG Terminal near Savannah, Georgia.

Kinder Morgan and SK E&S LNG Announce Long-Term Intrastate Transportation Agreement and Lateral Development Project
Kinder Morgan, Inc. (NYSE: KMI) today announced that its Texas Intrastate Pipelines group has entered into a 20-year firm transportation services agreement with SK E&S LNG, LLC (SK LNG), a subsidiary of SK E&S Co. LTD. Under the agreement, KMI will invest more than $150 million to provide more than 320,000 dekatherms per day of firm natural gas transportation services to support SK LNG’s Train III liquefied natural gas export capacity at Quintana Island, Texas. This Train is part of Freeport LNG Development’s Freeport LNG export facility which in total will liquefy up to 13.2 million tonnes per annum once fully operational.

Magnolia LNG signs Definitive Pipeline Capacity Agreement
Magnolia LNG LLC is pleased to advise that it has executed a legally binding pipeline capacity agreement, known as a Precedent Agreement (PA), with Kinder Morgan Louisiana Pipeline LLC (KMLP). The PA secures sufficient firm gas transportation service rights for the full 8 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) capacity of the Magnolia LNG Project (the MLNG Project) in Lake Charles, Louisiana, United States.

Kinder Morgan Energy Partners Expands Eagle Ford Shale Footprint
Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: KMP) today announced it has entered into an agreement with a large Eagle Ford Shale producer to extend the Kinder Morgan Crude and Condensate (KMCC) pipeline farther into the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas. KMP will invest approximately $74 million to build an 18-mile, 24-inch diameter lateral pipeline northwest from its DeWitt Station to a new facility in Gonzales County, where KMP will construct 300,000 barrels of storage, a pipeline pump station and truck offloading facilities.

Kinder Morgan Energy Partners Increases Ownership Stake to 100 Percent in El Paso Natural Gas Pipeline and Midstream Assets
Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: KMP) today announced that it has completed the previously announced acquisition (drop down) of 50 percent of El Paso Natural Gas Company, L.L.C. (EPNG) and 50 percent of former El Paso Midstream assets in Utah and South Texas from Kinder Morgan, Inc. (NYSE: KMI). The transaction has a total value of approximately $1.655 billion, including approximately $560 million of proportional debt at EPNG. The transaction is expected to be immediately accretive to cash available for distribution to KMP unitholders. KMP now owns 100 percent of both EPNG and the midstream assets. The transaction, which closed and is effective March 1, was approved by the independent boards of both KMI and Kinder Morgan Management, L.L.C. (NYSE: KMR).

Trans Mountain Updates Customer Commitments for Proposed Expansion Project
Trans Mountain Pipeline ULC (Trans Mountain), operated by Kinder Morgan Canada Inc. and owned by Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: KMP), today announced an update to the scope of its proposed expansion of the Trans Mountain Pipeline. As a result of a recently completed supplemental open season process, new long-term contracts have been signed, bringing the total volume of committed shippers to approximately 700,000 barrels per day (bpd). These additional commitments will result in an increase in the proposed expansion capacity from 750,000 bpd to 890,000 bpd. The expansion represents a capital investment of $5.4 billion and will complete the twinning of the existing pipeline from Strathcona County, Alberta, to Burnaby, British Columbia.

Kinder Morgan Energy Partners and Phillips 66 Agree to Deliver Eagle Ford Shale Crude to Coastal Refinery
Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: KMP) and Phillips 66 (NYSE: PSX) have entered into an agreement for Kinder Morgan to transport Eagle Ford crude and condensate to Phillips 66’s Sweeny Refinery in Brazoria County, Texas. Under the agreement, KMP plans to build a 27-mile, 12-inch diameter lateral pipeline to extend its Kinder Morgan Crude Condensate (KMCC) pipeline. Kinder Morgan will provide Phillips 66 with a significant portion of the lateral pipeline’s initial 30,000 barrels per day (bpd) of capacity, which is expandable to 100,000 bpd.
