Chevron Acquires Exploration Interests in Mauritania
Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Chevron Mauritania Exploration Limited has reached an agreement to acquire a 30 percent non-operated working interest in Blocks C8, C12 and C13 offshore Mauritania from Kosmos Energy. The transaction is subject to the approval of Mauritania’s government.

Kosmos Energy Finalizes Cap Boujdour Farm-out with Cairn Energy
Kosmos Energy (NYSE:KOS) today announced that it has entered into a farm-out agreement with Capricorn Exploration & Development Company Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cairn Energy PLC (LSE:CNE), covering the Cap Boujdour Contract Area. Under the terms of the agreement, Cairn will acquire a 20% non-operated interest in the exploration permits comprising the Contract Area. Cairn will pay a disproportionate share of future exploration costs including a 3D seismic survey, an initial exploration well in 2014 and, if successful, two appraisal wells, all subject to maximum expenditure caps. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including Moroccan Government approvals.

Government of Ghana approves Development Plan for the TEN Project
Tullow Oil plc (Tullow) announces that the Government of Ghana has formally approved the Development Plan for the Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme Development (“the TEN Project”). The approval paves the way for Tullow and its partners, Kosmos Energy, Anadarko Petroleum, PetroSA and the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, to proceed with the development of these discoveries.

Kosmos Energy Establishes New Exploration Positions in Porcupine Basin, Offshore Ireland
Kosmos Energy Ltd. (“Kosmos”) (NYSE: KOS) announced today that it has entered into two farm-in agreements, whereby Kosmos is acquiring an interest in multiple blocks in the prospective Porcupine Basin, offshore the west coast of Ireland. Chevron Enters Into Agreement with Kosmos Energy to Explore Offshore Suriname
Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Chevron Global Energy Inc. (Chevron) will be assigned a 50 percent working interest in Blocks 42 and 45 offshore Suriname through an agreement with Kosmos Energy. Under the agreement, Kosmos will have a 50 percent working interest and remain operator of both blocks until the end of the exploration phase. Chevron will assume the remaining 50 percent working interest and will be the operator following any commercial discoveries.

Kosmos Energy Provides Update on Status of Interest Acquisition in Deepwater Tano Block

Kosmos Energy Announces Teak-4A Results Offshore Ghana
Kosmos Energy (NYSE: KOS) announced results from the Teak-4A appraisal well, located in the West Cape Three Points Block, offshore Ghana. Located 6.1 kilometers (3.8 miles) northwest of the Teak-1 discovery well, the Teak-4A well was targeting the stratigraphic extension of the Teak discovery area. The well encountered thin, non-commercial reservoirs and is being plugged and abandoned. Kosmos and partners have begun integrating well results into the Teak field model to determine forward appraisal and development plans.

Kosmos Energy Announces New Exploration Licenses Offshore Mauritania
Kosmos Energy (NYSE: KOS) announced today that it has signed three Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) with the Government of Mauritania for Blocks C8, C12, and C13 offshore Mauritania. The contracts will take effect upon formal ratification by the Government of Mauritania. The blocks, which are contiguous, range in water depth between 1,600 and 3,000 meters (approximately 5,250 to 9,800 feet), and have a combined acreage extent of approximately 27,200 square kilometers (6.7 million gross acres).
