Eni: new successes in the exploration activities in Indonesia and Libya
Eni has completed post drilling studies on the Merakes-1 gas finding, located in the Indonesia deep offshore East Sepinggan Block, which indicates significant upside gas potential. Eni is the operator of the East Sepinggan Block with an 85% interest.

Foster Wheeler-Led JV Awarded Feed Contract For Nafusah Onshore Oilfield Development In Libya
Foster Wheeler AG (Nasdaq:FWLT) announced today that a subsidiary of its Global Engineering and Construction Group, in joint venture with Taknia Libya Engineering Company (Taknia), has been awarded a front-end engineering design (FEED) contract by Nafusah Oil Operations B.V. Libyan Branch for an onshore oilfield development, known as the Area 47 Development Project in Libya. Area 47 (North Hamada Field) is located in the Hamada region, approximately 200 km south of Tripoli, in the Ghadames Basin.

Towing of Zagreb-1 to Libyan offshore
After successful completion of upgrade of semi-submersible drilling rig Zagreb-1 in shipyard „Brodotrogir“ (Trogir) and following preparation works for Libyan project, rig tow towards Libyan offshore started in the afternoon hours on Thursday, November 28, 2013. After a 10-day and 780 miles long tow with the assistance of towing vessels Moon and Christos XXIII, the rig will be positioned and anchored at the offshore location A1-16/3, northwest from Tripoli. Commencement of works is expected soon. CROSCO Operational base for Zagreb-1 supplies is set up in Tripoli. Upgrade of Zagreb-1 rig started in „Brodotrogir“ in January of 2011.

Upgrade works were extensive and included class renewal by Lloyd's register and adjustments according to Total requirements. The majority of the works were performed by CROSCO, with the assistance of „Brodotrogir“ shipyard and their subcontractors.

Repsol has made a high quality light oil find (40º API) in Libya’s Murzuq basin. The find was made in block NC115 in the Sahara desert, 800 kilometres south of Tripoli.

Wintershall invests in Libya and builds new pipeline
Wintershall is sending a clear signal of its commitment to building a New Libya: together with the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC), Germany’s largest, internationally active crude oil and natural gas producer is building a new pipeline which will connect oil production from the Wintershall concession C96 and the oil field Nafoora, operated by the Libyan oil company Arabian Gulf Oil Company (Agoco), with the Amal field. From there the crude oil will be transported to the export port Ras Lanuf. Wintershall plans to lay the approx. 4,000 parts of the 55-km-long pipeline right through the desert by spring 2013. This means that for the first time a foreign operator, Wintershall, is coordinating the realization of a pipeline project on behalf of the Libyan National Oil Company (NOC).

BP Lifts Force Majeure on Libyan Exploration
BP has lifted Force Majeure in respect of its Libyan Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement (EPSA) with the National Oil Corporation (NOC) effective 15th May 2012. Force Majeure has been in place since 21st February 2011. Discussions between NOC and BP have agreed how the impact of Force Majeure will be mitigated in BP’s existing contract terms. The agreement was signed on 29th May by Dr. Nuri Berruien, Chairman of the NOC, and Felipe Posada, Regional President for BP in North Africa, during a visit to Tripoli with Dr. Michael Daly, BP’s Executive Vice President for Exploration.
