RWE Dea Norge received three new licences on the Norwegian Shelf
RWE Dea Norge has been awarded three promising licences in the recent APA 2010 licensing round by the Norwegian Ministery of Petroleum and Energy, of which one is in the North Sea and two are in the Norwegian Sea. This strengthens the company’s long-term commitment on the Norwegian Shelf.
Licence PL 582, Blocks 6204/10 and 6204/11, was awarded to RWE Dea Norge as operator with a 40% share. In these blocks the company has defined promising opportunities in Cretaceous sandstone reservoirs. In Licence PL 589, Blocks 6406/2 and 6406/5, RWE Dea Norge was awarded 30% as partner. This licence is seen as a follow-up of the recent Zidane gas discovery made by RWE Dea Norge as operator in summer 2010. Both licences are situated in the Norwegian Sea.
