Keppel contracts third floating liquefaction facility conversion worth US$684 million
Keppel Shipyard Limited (Keppel Shipyard), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has signed a contract worth approximately US$684 million with Golar Gandria N.V., a subsidiary of Golar LNG Limited (Golar LNG), to perform the conversion of a Moss type Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carrier, the GANDRIA, into a Golar Floating Liquefaction (GoFLNG) facility. The contract will become effective upon the parties fulfilling certain conditions precedent by 21 September 2015.

Shell to sell its equity interest in the Elba LNG joint venture to Kinder Morgan
Kinder Morgan, Inc. (NYSE: KMI) and Shell today announced that they have reached an agreement for Kinder Morgan to purchase 100 percent of Shell's equity interest in Elba Liquefaction Company, LLC (ELC), the owner of the Elba Liquefaction Project, which is proposed to be constructed and operated at the existing Elba Island LNG Terminal near Savannah, Georgia.

BG Group ships first LNG from QCLNG Train 2 in Australia
BG Group plc (LSE: BG.L), a world leader in exploration and LNG, today announces it has started up and loaded its first LNG from the second production train at the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) facility in Australia. The first LNG from Train 2 set sail on the Maran Gas Posidonia.

Technip Samsung Consortium was awarded two contracts by Shell for the Browse floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project in Australia, operated by Woodside(1).

NextDecade Raises Additional $85 million in Pre-FID Funding for its Rio Grande LNG Project, Makes Significant Progress with FERC
NextDecade, LLC (NextDecade) announced that Valinor Management, L.P. (Valinor) and Halcyon Energy Investors, L.P. (Halcyon) have joined certain funds managed by York Capital Management Global Advisors, LLC and its affiliates (York) in providing NextDecade with an additional US$85 million in order to take the Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) and Rio Bravo Pipeline project to Final Investment Decision (FID) as well as to fund the continued development of Pelican Island LNG (PILNG) in Galveston, Texas. The terms of the transaction include options for NextDecade’s three strategic investors to invest the requisite FID equity sufficient to commence construction of the RGLNG project. Together, York, Valinor and Halcyon manage assets in excess of US$40 billion. Jefferies LLC served as sole placement agent for NextDecade.

ENGIE signs its first Jangkrik LNG Sale & Purchase Agreements
ENGIE (formerly GDF SUEZ), eni, and Saka Energi signed today in Jakarta two LNG “Sales and Purchase Agreements” for the Jangkrik Development Project with PT Pertamina (PERSERO), the Indonesian largest natural gas transportation and distribution company. Under these agreements, Pertamina will purchase 1.4 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG starting in 2017.

Air Products’ LNG Technology and Equipment Picked Again for Freeport LNG Terminal Facility
Air Products (NYSE: APD), the global leader in liquefied natural gas (LNG) technology and equipment, announced today an agreement to provide its proprietary LNG technology, equipment, and process license for Freeport LNG Development, L.P.’s Train 3 gas liquefaction and export project. The sale includes Air Products’ main cryogenic coil-wound heat exchangers and associated technology, which will be vital in the production of LNG at the facility near Freeport, Texas.

NEB approves Quicksilver's export licence
The National Energy Board (NEB) has approved the application of Quicksilver Resources Canada Inc. (Quicksilver) for a 25 year natural gas export licence with a maximum term quantity of 733 billion cubic metresFootnote 1. The issuance of this licence is subject to the approval of the Governor in Council.

ENGIE signs a long-term LNG supply contract with Novatek
ENGIE and NOVATEK have concluded today an LNG Sales and Purchase Agreement from the Yamal LNG project. Under the FOB agreement, ENGIE will receive 1 million tons per year over a 23-year period starting 2018. This represents 14 cargoes per year which will be delivered from Yamal Trade icebreaker LNG carriers at the Montoir-de-Bretagne LNG terminal (ENGIE), on the western coast of France, where NOVATEK will transfer the LNG, via a transshipment service operated by Elengy, to ENGIE vessels. The LNG will be further delivered anywhere in the world depending on client’s needs.

Alaska LNG Project LLC Receives Conditional Authorization to Export LNG to Non-Free Trade Agreement Countries
The Alaska LNG project marks another significant milestone with today’s announcement by the United States Department of Energy that it has conditionally authorized the Alaska LNG Project LLC to export liquefied natural gas to non-Free Trade Agreement countries.
