Macquarie Energy and Freeport LNG Expansion, L.P. to Jointly Develop U.S. LNG Export Project
Macquarie Energy, the North American energy marketing and trading arm of Macquarie Group (Macquarie) (ASX: MQG), and Freeport LNG Expansion, L.P. (Freeport LNG) today announced an agreement to jointly develop and market liquefaction capacity at Freeport LNG’s existing LNG import terminal near Freeport, Texas. The proposed liquefaction facility will be capable of liquefying up to 1.4 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) of natural gas and will create a world-class bi-directional import/export LNG terminal.

CH•IV International Awarded Contract To Provide Consulting Services To Bangladesh LNG Project
Jeffrey P. Beale, President of CH·IV International (CH·IV), is pleased to announce that CH·IV International, in association with the Galway Group LP, will provide support to Bangladesh’s state-owned Petrobangla in acquiring firm LNG supply and design and construction of the country’s first LNG import terminal. Chief of the Bangladesh LNG Cell Md Muqtadir Ali said, “The company (CH·IV) was selected on the basis of its experience in negotiating LNG supply agreements, pricing, LNG shipping and development of LNG import terminals.” Mr. Muqtadir, who previously served as the acting chairman of Petrobangla, added “We have already issued a letter of intent to award the contract to the U.S firm.”

CB&I Awarded Feed Contract for Shtokman LNG Export Terminal Project
CB&I (NYSE: CBI) announced today that CB&I Lummus has been awarded a contract for the front-end engineering & design (FEED) services for the Shtokman LNG storage and loading facility at the sea port in Terriberka in the Murmansk region of the Russian Federation. The sea port is part of the Shtokman Gas-Condensate Field Development Project developed by Gazprom Dobycha Shelf LLC, a fully owned subsidiary of Gazprom JSC. CB&I's contract, which is scheduled for completion in 2011, has been awarded by Giprospetsgas JSC, the project general designer. The value of the contract was not disclosed.

GDF SUEZ is to further consolidate its position in Chile through the construction of an on-shore LNG storage tank in the North of Chile. The tank is part of the GNL Mejillones terminal, which GDF SUEZ jointly owns with Codelco, the world’s main copper producer.

U.S. Maritime Administration Issues Record of Decision for TORP’s Bienville Offshore Energy Terminal
Maritime Administrator David T. Matsuda on Friday signed the Record of Decision approving the deepwater port application submitted by TORP Terminal LP for a license to own, construct and operate the Bienville Offshore Energy Terminal, an LNG regasification facility located in the Gulf of Mexico, 63 miles south of Dauphin Island, Alabama in a water depth of 425 feet.
