NOGA/nogaholding sign Bahrain LNG Terminal Project
Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, the Minister of Energy, The National Oil & Gas Authority (NOGA) and The Oil and Gas Holding Company (nogaholding) signed the project agreements for the development of an LNG receiving and regasification terminal in Bahrain with a consortium of Teekay LNG Partners (Teekay LNG), Samsung C&T (Samsung) and Gulf Investment Cooperation (GIC). The project, to be developed on a BOOT (Build-Own-Operate-Transfer) basis, will be located in Hidd Industrial area of Bahrain and will help the Kingdom meet the increasing demand for gas supplies to satisfy its industrial and urban development.
Fluor Awarded Kuwait’s Al-Zour Contracts
Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced today that its joint venture team was selected by Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) as the preferred bidder for two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) packages. Facilities in the two packages will include a variety of key process units, utilities and infrastructure for the new Al-Zour oil refinery project in Kuwait that is expected to produce 615,000 barrels-per-day. Fluor booked its $2.6 billion portion of the contract in the third quarter of 2015.
Wood Group awarded Saudi Aramco offshore contract
Wood Group has been awarded an offshore maintain potential programme contract by Saudi Aramco for greenfield and brownfield engineering services, procurement, and construction management support for new facilities in the Arabian Gulf. The six-year contract, which includes options for two three-year renewals, includes the establishment of an offshore engineering centre of excellence in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
Technip wins PMC contract for the Basra Refinery Upgrading project
Technip, in partnership with UNICO, a Japanese engineering consultant, was awarded a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract on a reimbursable basis, for the upgrading of the Basra refinery. This contract, awarded by South Refineries Company (SRC) – Ministry of Oil, covers the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up and warranty management phase of the refinery upgrading project(1), located in Basra, Iraq.
