GDF SUEZ concludes a 2.5 million tons of LNG sale to Petronas LNG Ltd
GDF SUEZ has entered into an agreement with Petronas LNG Ltd.1, a wholly owned subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas), the national oil company of Malaysia, under which, GDF SUEZ will supply Petronas LNG with 2.5 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from August 2012 over a 3.5 year period. The cargoes will be sourced from GDF SUEZ’ LNG portfolio.

Seadrill secures a new contract in Malaysia and orders new tender rig
Seadrill has been awarded an 18 month contract by Murphy Sabah Oil Co Ltd for the semi tender rig West Menang to operate on the Kikeh Spar deepwater field in Malaysia. Estimated contract value is approximately US$100 million (including mobilization and modification of approximately US$14 million), and the commencement is scheduled for later this quarter.

Technip awarded a key engineering contract for a FLNG in Malaysia
Technip, in a consortium with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd., has been awarded by Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) and MISC Berhad a front-end engineering and design contract for a floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) unit. The FLNG, which will have a capacity of one million-tonnes per annum, will be located in Malaysia.

Petrofac Awarded US$280 Million Offshore Contract by Petronas in Malaysia
Petrofac, the international oil & gas facilities service provider, has been awarded a contract by Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for the development of the SEPAT offshore early production system on the East coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The contract, which is valued at approximately US$280 million, was awarded following a competitive tender and first oil is expected before the end of 2011.

Total Acquires Interest in a Deep Offshore Exploration Block Malaysia
Total announces that it has signed an agreement with the national oil company Petronas to acquire a 85% interest in the Block SK317B, offshore Malaysia. Under the terms of the agreement, Total will operate the Block alongside its partner Petronas Carigali holding the remaining 15% interest.

ATWOOD OCEANICS Announces Contract Extension for the ATWOOD FALCON
ATWOOD OCEANICS, INC., a Houston-based international drilling contractor (NYSE: ATW), announced today that the ATWOOD FALCON has been awarded an extension by Sarawak Shell Berhad / Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Ltd. of the existing contract. With this extension, the rig's current contract commitment will be extended from August 24, 2011 until between November 24, 2011 and January 24, 2012, depending on the length of the drilling program. The value of the contract extension is estimated to be between $27 million and $45 million.

Fluor Awarded Shell's Project Hijau Gasoil Phase-1 in Malaysia
Fluor Corporation (NYSE:FLR) announced today that it was awarded the Project Hijau Gasoil Phase-1 by Shell Refining Company FOM Malaysia. The project comprises a new 6,000 tonnes-per-day diesel processing unit located in Port Dickson, Malaysia. Fluor will perform engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services as a follow-on scope of work to its previous front-end engineering and design (FEED) work. Fluor will recognize the undisclosed award value in the third quarter of 2010.
