Toyo-Canada Awarded EDS Work of Oil Sands Refinery Project
Toyo Engineering Canada Ltd. (Toyo-Canada)*, a Canadian subsidiary of Toyo Engineering Corporation, Japan (President and CEO Yutaka Yamada) has been awarded a contract by North West Redwater Partnership (NWR) a joint venture between North West Upgrading Inc. and Canadian Natural Resources Limited to provide EDS (Engineering Design Specification) work for a heavy oil upgrading and refining complex in Sturgeon County, Alberta. This EDS work is scheduled to be completed in August, 2012.

Seadrill secures a five-year contract for the ultra-deepwater newbuild West Capricorn
Seadrill has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with a major oil company for a five-year contract for operations in North America with the ultra-deepwater semi-submersible rig West Capricorn. The potential contract value for the firm five-year period is US$919 million, which includes a US$30 million mobilization fee. The oil company has the right to extend the contract term for two additional one-year periods.

SandRidge Energy, Inc. Signs Agreement to Sell Certain East Texas Properties for $231 Million and Announces Revised Production G
SandRidge Energy, Inc. (NYSE: SD) today announced that it has signed a Purchase and Sales Agreement ("PSA") with NFR Energy LLC whereby SandRidge would sell its East Texas natural gas properties in Gregg, Harrison, Rusk and Panola counties for $231 million. The sold properties include approximately 25,000 net acres with average 2011 production of approximately 25 MMcfed. SandRidge intends to use the cash proceeds to fund a portion of its oil focused drilling program. SandRidge expects the transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions, to close in November.

Crosstex Energy Announces Binding Open Season for NGL Pipeline System Project
In accordance with the open access requirements of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Crosstex NGL Pipeline, L.P. today announced the start of a binding open season for volume commitments for interstate common carrier transportation service on a new natural gas liquids pipeline system (the Crosstex NGL Pipeline) that will transport unfractionated natural gas liquids (NGLs) produced in the Permian Basin, Midcontinent, Barnett Shale, Eagle Ford Shale, and Rocky Mountain areas from the Mont Belvieu, Texas area to NGL fractionation facilities in Eunice and Riverside, Louisiana. The open season will begin at 8:00 a.m. Central Time on September 14, 2011 and will close at 5:00 p.m. Central Time on October 14, 2011.

Sasol Announces Feasibility Study to Build the First U.S. Gas-to-Liquids Facility
South African energy and chemicals group Sasol today announced that it has chosen the southwestern region of the State of Louisiana as the site for a planned gas-to-liquids (GTL) facility. The project is slated to be the first plant in the U.S. to produce GTL transportation fuels and other products.
