Neste Jacobs to implement production-related investments at Neste Oil refineries in Finland
Technology, engineering and project management company Neste Jacobs has been chosen as the EPCM contractor to implement the new SDA (Solvent De-Asphalting) unit at Neste Oil's Porvoo refinery. Neste Jacobs will provide Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management services to the project.

AGA to build a new hydrogen production unit at Neste Oil's Porvoo refinery
Neste Oil and AGA, part of the Linde Group, have signed a long-term hydrogen supply agreement covering Neste Oil's Porvoo refinery, under which AGA will invest to build a new hydrogen production unit at the refinery. AGA will be responsible for construction and Neste Oil will build the links needed to connect the unit to the refinery. The project represents an investment of around EUR 100 million.

Neste Oil to invest in improving energy efficiency and operational reliability at its Porvoo refinery
Neste Oil is to invest a total of approx. EUR 42 million in improving the energy efficiency and operational reliability of its Porvoo refinery. As part of the investment, fired heaters at the refinery's crude distillation unit will be replaced with new-generation heaters, which will help ensure more consistent, incident-free operations at the site and yield annual energy savings worth an estimated EUR 4 million.

Neste Oil to invest EUR 65 million in enhancing gasoline production at Porvoo
Neste Oil has decided to build an isomerization unit at its Porvoo refinery. The investment, valued at approx. EUR 65 million, is intended to increase the output of high-octane gasoline and improve refining flexibility at the site.

Neste Oil's Naantali refinery back online after major turnaround
Neste Oil's Naantali refinery is back in normal operation following the completion of a scheduled major maintenance turnaround. The turnaround began in April and lasted a total of around six weeks, and will help ensure the refinery's good performance for the next four to six years.

Neste Oil produces premium-quality NExBTL renewable diesel from waste fat sourced from the fish processing industry
Neste Oil has again expanded the range of renewable raw materials it uses by beginning to produce NExBTL renewable diesel from waste fat sourced from the fish processing industry at its Singapore refinery. The fat in question comes from the gutting waste generated when processing freshwater pangasius farmed in Southeast Asia after the fillets have been removed for human consumption.

Neste Oil to sell its holding in an iso-octane plant in Canada
Neste Oil is to sell its 50% holding in an iso-octane plant in Edmonton, Canada to Canada's Keyera Corp. The plant has an annual nameplate capacity of 520,000 tons and employs 100 people. Neste Oil will sell its whole asset, which is valued at USD 99 million or over euro 70 million. Furthermore Neste Oil shall sell the associated product and feedstock inventories at closing to the buyer.

Official inauguration of new base oil plant in Bahrain held today, Tuesday 29 November
Neste Oil, The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), and nogaholding are celebrating the official opening of their new joint base oil plant in Bahrain today. The companies started up commercial production at the facility in October, 2011. The plant has a capacity of 400,000 t/a and is located at Bapco's refinery on Bahrain's east coast.

Neste Oil making a major environmental investment at its refinery harbor in Porvoo
Neste Oil is building a system for recovering emissions released when loading ships at the harbor of its Porvoo refinery. The system, valued at approx. EUR 23 million, will recover the majority of the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released into the atmosphere when loading gasoline.
