Air Products to Supply Nitrogen to Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij for Extracting Gas from Small Fields
Today, Air Products announced it will build and operate a new air separation unit for Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij B.V. (NAM), a joint venture between Shell and Esso. The company has secured the necessary environmental and permit approvals and construction will start at the site shortly. The installation is expected to be onstream in summer 2013 and is located next to the De Wijk gas field near Hoogeveen in the province of Drenthe, The Netherlands.

Gasunie and Vopak sign agreement with Shell as launching customer for LNG Break Bulk terminal
Gas infrastructure company N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie (Gasunie) and liquid bulk storage provider Royal Vopak (Vopak) today announce that they have signed an agreement with Royal Dutch Shell (Shell) as launching customer for their LNG Break Bulk terminal, to be constructed at the Maasvlakte near Rotterdam. The purpose of this terminal is to make LNG available for distribution to marine bunkering and truck fuelling stations. In this way liquefied natural gas (LNG) can be used as a clean alternative transport fuel.

Shell Pernis is investing heavily in cleaner fuels
Today marks the opening by Rotterdam Mayor Ahmed Taleb of a new treatment unit at the Shell refinery at Pernis. By building an investment of around 500 million dollars. More than half of the work was done by Dutch companies.

Jacobs Receives Contract from BP for Rotterdam Refinery
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today it was awarded a contract from BP Raffinaderij Rotterdam B.V. to provide engineering and procurement services, as well as engineering assistance during construction, commissioning and startup for a major shutdown of the fluid catalytic cracker unit (FCCU) at the Rotterdam Refinery in The Netherlands.

BP Announces Plan to Sell its Global LPG Bottles and Tank Filling Business
BP announced today that it intends to sell its LPG bottles and tank filling operations in Portugal, UK, Austria, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, Turkey, China and South Africa, as well as its non refinery-integrated wholesale business.

Summa Group And VTTI To Build A Major Oil Terminal In The Port Of Rotterdam
On October 20, 2011 the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte attended the signing ceremony for a major long-term agreement between the Port of Rotterdam and Shtandart TT B.V. Shareholders of Shtandart TT B.V. are Summa Group (75%) and the Dutch company VTTI (25%). The agreement, which was signed by the Summa Group Chairman Ziyavudin Magomedov and the President of the Port of Rotterdam Hans Smits, covers the building and operation of a new major crude and products oil terminal (Tank Terminal Europoort West, TEW) in the Port. The CEO of VTTI Rob Nijst was present at the signing ceremony.

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands officially opens first Dutch Liquefied Natural Gas Import Terminal
Queen Beatrix has officially opened Gate terminal this afternoon. Gate (Gas Access To Europe) terminal is located on the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam and is the first import terminal for liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the Netherlands. It has been developed by N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie and Royal Vopak. Hundreds of foreign dignitaries, national and international guests amongst others attended the official opening ceremony.
