Nigeria: Total Completes $1 Billion Of Onshore Divestments
Total has completed the divestment of its stake in onshore Oil Mining Lease (OML) 29 to Aiteo Eastern E&P, a Nigerian company, for $569 million. Together with the recently completed divestments of OML 24 and OML 18, Total’s share of sale proceeds from these three onshore Nigerian blocks amounts to over $1 billion.

SPDC completes sale of oil mining lease 29 and Nembe Creek Trunk Line in Nigeria
The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell), has completed the assignment of its interest in oil mining lease (OML) 29 and the Nembe Creek Trunk Line (OML29 and NCTL) and related facilities in the Eastern Niger Delta. Its interests in OML29 and the Nembe Creek Trunk Line were assigned to Aiteo Eastern E&P Company Limited. Total cash proceeds for Shell amount to some $1.7 billion.
This divestment is part of the strategic review of SPDC’s onshore portfolio and is in line with the Federal Government of Nigeria’s aim of developing Nigerian companies in the country’s upstream oil and gas business.

Nigeria: Total achieves flare-out on its operated Ofon field
Total has completed the flare out of the Ofon field on Oil Mining Lease (OML) 102 offshore Nigeria. The associated gas of the Ofon field is now being compressed, evacuated to shore and monetized via Nigeria LNG.

Drilling Program Begins on the Deepwater Egina Field in Nigeria
December 12 marked a milestone for the Egina project in Nigeria, as an intensive drilling program got under way. Two rigs will be kept busy for a total of 3,000 days, drilling 44 wells in water depths ranging between 1,400 and 1,700 meters. “This is the deepest offshore project ever operated by Total,” comments Jean-Michel Guy, Executive General Manager of the Egina Project. “With production of 200,000 barrels per day, it will contribute significantly to achieving Total’s 2017 production objectives.”

SPDC completes sale of Oil Mining Lease 24 in Nigeria
The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell), has completed the assignment of its 30% interest in Oil Mining Lease 24 (OML24) and related facilities in the Eastern Niger Delta to Newcross Exploration and Production Limited (Newcross). Total cash proceeds for Shell amount to some $600 million.
This divestment is part of the strategic review of SPDC’s onshore portfolio and is in line with the Federal Government of Nigeria’s aim of developing Nigerian companies in the country’s upstream oil and gas business.
