The exploration wells 30/11-9 S and 30/11-9 A, drilled by the drilling rig Ocean Vanguard, are located between the Oseberg and Frigg fields and about 13 km southeast of the Statoil-operated Krafla/Krafla West discoveries.

SPX Awarded Contract to Provide Oil Production Pumps for EnQuest's Kraken Field in the North Sea
SPX Corporation (NYSE: SPW) today announced that it was awarded a contract in Q3 worth approximately $22 million for oil well production pumps. The pumps will be utilized for key artificial lift service on EnQuest's new offshore subsea heavy oil field project, currently being developed in the UK North Sea.

First gas production from UK Jasmine field
BG Group today announced first gas production from the Jasmine field in the UK North Sea, in which the company has a 30.5% interest. The successful start-up of the field marks the delivery of another of the Group’s key milestones for 2013.

The £4 billion Kraken development has been approved by its owners and by DECC
EnQuest PLC, the largest UK independent oil company in the UK North Sea, has given its go-ahead for a £4 billion investment in the c.140 million barrel oil field Kraken development, set to generate billions of revenue for taxpayers and to support an estimated 20,000 jobs during the project’s construction period and an average of approximately 1,000 operational jobs a year over the course of its 25 year life. The development has been approved by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (‘DECC’), this is the largest investment announced in the UK North Sea this year and one of the largest UK industrial investments for 2013.
