Air Products’ LNG Technology and Equipment Selected for Freeport Terminal Facility
Air Products (NYSE: APD), the global leader in liquefied natural gas (LNG) technology and equipment, announced today an agreement to provide two sets of its proprietary LNG technology, equipment, and process license for Freeport LNG’s liquefaction and export project. The sale includes two of Air Products’ main cryogenic coil wound heat exchangers and the associated equipment and technology which will be vital in the production of LNG at the facility. The trains are scheduled to be onstream in 2018.

FERC Staff Issues Draft Environmental Impact Statement on Freeport LNG
The staff of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Commission or FERC) has prepared a draft environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Phase II Modification Project and the Liquefaction Project (Projects). The Projects are proposed by Freeport LNG and are located in Brazoria County near the city of Freeport, Texas. The proposed Phase II Modification Project includes: modification to the previously authorized liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessel berthing dock, LNG transfer pipelines, LNG unloading arms, and the access road system at Freeport LNG’s existing Quintana Island terminal. Freeport LNG would not construct components of the previously authorized facility, including vaporization equipment that was approved to increase the LNG Terminal's sendout capacity.

CB&I Awarded Contract for LNG Liquefaction Terminal
CB&I (NYSE: CBI) today announced a joint venture between CB&I and Zachry Industrial, Inc. has been awarded two contracts, each valued at approximately $2.5 billion, by FLNG Liquefaction, LLC and FLNG Liquefaction 2, LLC in order to construct the first two trains of the Freeport Liquefaction Project.

Freeport LNG Signs 20-Year Liquefaction Tolling Agreements With Osaka Gas And Chubu Electric
Freeport LNG Expansion, L.P. (Freeport LNG) today announced that it had executed 20-year liquefaction tolling agreements with Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. (Osaka Gas) and Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (Chubu Electric) covering 100% of the liquefaction capacity of the first train of Freeport LNG’s proposed natural gas liquefaction and LNG loading facility near Freeport, Texas. The initial 3-train facility will be capable of liquefying approximately 13.2 million tons per annum (mtpa) of natural gas. Freeport LNG expects that all three trains will be fully subscribed by the end of 2012.

Cabot Oil & Gas Announces Pearsall Joint Venture
Cabot Oil & Gas (NYSE: COG) today announced the Company has signed a definitive agreement with a wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. ("Osaka") for the sale of a 35 percent non-operated working interest in the Pearsall Shale in approximately 50,000 net acres leased by the Company in Atascosa, Frio, La Salle and Zavala counties of Texas for a total price of $250 million. Closing of the transaction, including the joint venture agreement, is anticipated to occur on June 26, 2012.

Energy and Natural Resource Financing for Gorgon LNG Project in Australia
The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC; President & CEO: Hiroshi Watanabe)*1signed today a loan agreement totaling up to 211.4 million U.S. dollars (JBIC portion) with Osaka Gas Gorgon Pty Ltd (OGG), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. (Osaka Gas) in the Commonwealth of Australia. The loan, provided in project financing,*2 is cofinanced with The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (lead arranger). The overall cofinancing amounts to 302 million U.S. dollars.

MHI to Build First "Sayaendo" New-generation LNG Carrier
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI), has agreed with Osaka Gas International Transport Inc. (OGIT), a group company of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd to build two new-generation liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers. The event will represent the first construction of the "Sayaendo" Series, which significantly improves fuel consumption and maintainability through various features, including enhancement of ship structure efficiency. Two LNG carriers are slated for delivery in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
