Eni signs strategic agreement for the gas development of Perla super-giant field in Venezuela
The Minister of Petroleum and Mines of Venezuela and President of PDVSA, Rafael Ramírez, Eni's CEO, Paolo Scaroni, and Repsol's CEO, Antonio Brufau, signed today the Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) for the commercial development of the super-giant field Perla in Venezuela, one of the world's largest gas fields that has been discovered in recent years. The agreement, to be followed by the award of key contracts, marks the start of the development activities in the field.

Rosneft Takes an Important Step in Expanding into the Strategic Market of Venezuela
Rosneft and PDVSA today signed a tentative memorandum of understanding to set up a joint venture to develop heavy crude oil reserves in Venezuela as part of the Carabobo-2 project. Rosneft will hold a 40% stake in the planned joint venture with the remaining 60% to be owned by PDVSA subsidiary CVP.

JGC Wins Oil Refinery Expansion Project in Venezuela
JGC Corporation has been awarded a contract for the detail engineering, procurement support and construction management services associated with constructing heavy crude oil upgrading facilities in the Puerto La Cruz oil refinery by PDVSA Petroleo, S.A. (PDVSA), Venezeula's state-run oil company. JGC will undertake the project as leader of a consortium including Chiyoda Corporation and INELECTRA, a Venezuelan engineering company.

Gazprom and PDVSA sign Memorandum of Understanding to develop Robalo field in Venezuela
Today in Caracas (Venezuela) Gazprom and state-owned Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of Igor Sechin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. The Memorandum stipulates possible creation of a joint venture to develop the Robalo gas field in the Gulf of Venezuela.

Financial resources secured to expand the capacity of El Palito and Puerto La Cruz refineries
As part of the strategy of diversifying markets and sources of funding, officials of Petroleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA) and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) signed an agreement for a credit transaction for an amount of 1,500 million dollars for projects of deep conversion to the refineries in El Palito (REP), and Puerto La Cruz (PLC) located in Carabobo and Anzoategui states, respectively.

Closing of the loan agreement to PDVSA
Marubeni Corporation, Itochu Corporation and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (herein after referred to as our “Parties”) finalized the agreement for loan facilities in the amount of US$ 750 million (loan period: 15 years) granted to Petróleo de Venezuela S.A.
