McDermott Awarded Bay of Campeche Ayatsil-A Installation Contract for PEMEX
McDermott International, Inc. (NYSE:MDR) (“McDermott”) announced today that it has been awarded a contract to install the offshore jacket, deck and piles for the Ayatsil-A drilling platform for PEMEX Exploracion y Produccion (“PEMEX”) in the Bay of Campeche Ayatsil field. The value of the award is included in McDermott’s fourth quarter backlog.

ICA Fluor to Build $1.3 Billion Coker Plant in Mexico
Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced that its ICA Fluor industrial engineering-construction joint venture with Empresas ICA, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV and NYSE: ICA) signed a contract with Pemex Refinación for the construction of the delayed coker unit that will be installed at the Miguel Hidalgo Refinery in Tula, Hidalgo, Mexico. The total contract value is $1.3 billion, and Fluor will book its $650 million share of the contract in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Foster Wheeler Awarded Engineering, Procurement And Construction Contract By PEMEX For Clean Fuels Project At Salina Cruz
Foster Wheeler AG (NASDAQ:FWLT) announced today that a subsidiary of its Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded a contract by PEMEX REFINACIÓN for an ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) project at the Salina Cruz refinery, Oaxaca, Mexico. Foster Wheeler’s scope of work, which also includes start-up and testing, is scheduled to be completed in 2018.

Yokogawa Electric Corporation announces that its subsidiary Yokogawa de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. has received an order from Cobra Instalaciones Mexico S.A. de C.V., a subsidiary of the Spanish EPC firm ACS, to supply an integrated control and safety instrumented system solution for an ultra-low-sulfur diesel fuel plant that is being built for PEMEX Refinacion, a subsidiary of Mexico's national oil company, PEMEX.

Accident at the coking plant in Madero Refinery
At approximately 14:15 hours today a fire occurred in the drum of the coking plant at "Francisco I. Madero" Refinery. No fire or damage to facilities was raised.

Operations Start on Trans-Isthmus Corridor to transport fuels
Petróleos Mexicanos today began operation of the pipeline corridor that goes from Veracruz to Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, which connects the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific, allowing transportation of oil fuels cheaper, cleaner and with lower insurance.

The director general of Pemex, Emilio Lozoya Austin, stressed that this is a strategic project that seeks to make optimal use, from the economic point of view, the new infrastructure Pemex to reduce transfer time of hydrocarbons to the Pacific coast while making the most of business opportunities that market conditions and geographic location of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec become possible.
