Metso gets follow-up order for valve technology from Sino-Venezuela Guangdong Petrochemical Company in China
Metso has won a second major order for advanced valve technology from Sino-Venezuela Guangdong Petrochemical Company for its 20 million ton-per-year heavy crude oil processing project in China. The new delivery includes large Neles® valves for the delayed coking process, which is one of the demanding subprocesses in oil refining. This process sets especially high requirements for valve reliability and tightness.

Phase I of Tangshan LNG project becomes operational
On December 10, CNPC's Tangshan LNG project, located in the Caofeidian Industrial Zone in the city of Tangshan, Hebei Province, started gas delivery, indicating that phase I of the project is put into operation.

Qatargas delivers a commissioning cargo to Tangshan Caofeidian LNG Terminal in the People’s Republic of China
On 15 November Qatargas delivered the first cargo of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to China National Petroleum Corporation’s (PetroChina) Tangshan Caofeidian LNG terminal located in the Hebei province. The cargo was delivered onboard the Q-Flex class LNG vessel Al-Gharrafa and it will be used to commission the third LNG terminal owned and operated by PetroChina in the People’s Republic of China.

Wison Engineering Successfully Completes Delivery of Six Projects of Integrated Refinery and Petrochemical Complex
Wison Engineering Services Co. Ltd. (HKEx: 02236) ("Wison Engineering" or the "Company"), China's largest private chemical EPC contractor, announced today that Wison Engineering Ltd, an indirect non-wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, has successfully completed the delivery of six projects of the PetroChina Sichuan Integrated Refinery and Petrochemical Complex on schedule. This is Wison Engineering’s first project to execute the main units of a sizable integrated refinery and petrochemical complex. The successful delivery demonstrates the Company’s technical strengths as a general contractor for highly complicated facilities, thereby laying a solid foundation for Wison Engineering to expand into overseas and domestic petrochemical and oil refinery markets.

Harper Government Announces Approval of Long-term Export Licence
The Honourable Joe Oliver, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, today announced the approval of a long-term export licence to LNG Canada Development Inc. to export liquefied natural gas from the terminal proposed by the Shell consortium in Kitimat. LNG Canada is a joint venture comprising Shell, Korea Gas Corp., Mitsubishi Corp. and PetroChina International.

Encana Announces Joint Venture to Develop Duvernay Lands
Encana Corporation (TSX: ECA) (NYSE: ECA) (Encana) has entered into a joint venture arrangement with Phoenix Duvernay Gas (Phoenix), a wholly owned subsidiary of PetroChina, to explore and develop Encana's extensive undeveloped Duvernay land holdings in west-central Alberta. Under the terms of the agreement, Phoenix will gain a non-controlling 49.9% interest in Encana's approximately 445,000 acres in the Duvernay play for total consideration of C$2.18 billion.

BHP Billiton To Sell Interest In East And West Browse Joint Ventures
BHP Billiton has signed a definitive agreement with PetroChina International Investment (Australia) Pty Ltd to sell its 8.33 per cent interest in the East Browse Joint Venture and 20 per cent interest in the West Browse Joint Venture, located offshore Western Australia, for a cash consideration of US$1.63 billion. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and other customary conditions. Completion is expected in the first half of calendar year 2013.
